so i just got my little engi to 80 and i’m already wrecking it with dire armor with rabid trinkets. im wondering if precision matters at all for a condition build. the only reason i can think of having a little precision is for incendiary powder. so do most of you guys run with with dire + rabid or just full out dire stats. i need help deciding as i decide what to spend my laurels on.

It’s very build/game mode/roll dependent as far as how you want to gear, so I’ll keep this very general. If you’re running bleed on crit or burning on crit traits it helps to have like 35-40% crit chance. You don’t need a ton in my experience since you’re hitting multiple targets multiple times with things like nades/darts/etc. and IP has a 10s CD.

Basically this. I rarely lose 1v1’s and even 1v2’s

I’m on SoS too and would love to see how you do it Icon.

Moving from my ranger to engie and certainly doing damage in 1 v 2s but too often I get locked down or can’t get off enough heals or the enemy avoids the CC that gives me enough range thru stability.

I don’t kill fast enough to not need to kite, stay mobile off lockdown etc. Somehow, I am just not getting it (but then again, it is only week 2 or 3 for the engie).

I run mostly dire armor, 1 dire wep, 1 rabid wep, rabid trinkets, rampager amulet.

This is what I would do too, although carrion armor is another option. The additional power can really help out in the damage department, although it’s a loss in survivability.
