Heyho folks,

im building up a cond. engi with karma armor+undead runes(prec though cond)

traits: incenadary (10)+ pistol line full (30) and 10 into alchy + 20 in Tools (kit refinement+speedy kits)

Skils: Pistol/shield + elixier gun + toolkit + flametrower or bombs (i kitten like flametrower)

My builds makes my a bit tanky+nice cond spreading

So: should i spend my hard earned money on exotic rampagers or carrion ejwels to round my build up?

this build should be used in WvW and a bit in PVE (farmign karma or fractals)

p.s. I dont wanna spam grenades! (for all full berserker WvW guys)

Flamethrower and Bombs/Elixir Gun would probably imply that Carrion would be best. I use full carrion exotics for my Flamethrower or Bomb/Toolkit builds since those weapons focus on big damage and big condition damage (Concussion Bomb + Prybar can deal some heavy damage both in Direct Damage and Condition Damage).

Its all about preference, though.

If you feel like you crit enough, go carrion, if you don’t proc incendiary enough, go rampager.

I’m confused. The question is about gear for WvW and PvE, but carrion jewels are sPvP only? These jewels don’t exist outside of the Mists, right? What am I missing here?

They do exist in pve, They can also go by different names. Anything with High Condition, Mid power, and Mid Vitality is called Carrion for simplicity. Carrion is more of a reference to the stats then the rune itself.

Alright, that I understand. You are using the term ‘carrion’ as a descriptor, not as a literal definition. I follow you now. I was thinking that you were literally talking about Carrion Jewels.
