Reason they won't nerf HGH
Well, some constructive criticism coming up:
HGH will most likely not be nerfed! but not because Ele’s can do it too, but rather because it’s a simple build, easy to balance and does not kill too fast.
It’s been made clear than just because another class can do it, does not mean that the engineer should do it, isn’t that the reason they Deleted 100nades while keeping backstab/shatters,etc untouched ?

Developer: Great news Engineer community! Elixir Gun skills’ will now act as actual elixirs and therefore trigger all respective elixir traits!! CONGRATULATIONS!! oh yea… also, we’ve also done a little balancing…
- HGH: Might duration changed to 5s
- Cleaning Formula 409: added 20s internal cool down
- Acidic Elixirs: 50% damage increase!!
We felt that with the changes to Elixir Gun, these traits would be close to being too powerful, so we’ve added more utility!

Prediction: Might stacking nerf on its way due to Cantrip Eles.

Impact on other classes isn’t mentioned.
Non-Ele specific nerfs to Cantrip Eles are likely to hurt Eng HGH builds as both builds focus on stacking similar conditions and boons. I’m hoping they focus on Ele specific nerfs and stay away from things that will also nerf Engs, but that seems unlikely.
The three major boons Cantrip Eles stack are vigor, regeneration and might. A nerf to vigor stacking seems inevitable; hopefully this will be Ele specific as other classes don’t seem to be as excessive in this area. Same for Regeneration. (A global nerf to Regeneration seems very unlikely as it will reduce survivability across the board and the backlash from that would be severe,) Which leaves Might stacking…
A global nerf to Might stacking seems likely, as this will not only help balance Cantrip Eles, it will also help reduce the dominance of burst damage in fights and shift PvP combat more towards skill-over-time (which I think is what they want). In the long run this may actually work out in our favor as they ANet seem to see us as a major skill-over-time class. In the short term, however, that will make non-might stacking burst builds even more dominant, which is very bad for us.

They’ll probably make pry-bar 3 sec again before they nerf HGH. 10 sec confusion would be higher on the engineer nerf list than our elixirs.
Why are we giving them ideas? Yeesh.

I don’t think it will be nerfed because boons are part of how engie is suppose to play. If boons are part of the class description I think its alright if we can reach the 25 stack limit, as opposed to say, thieves, who if somehow happen to get 20+ stacks of might on their own then we would have a problem.
Agree with penguin, they won’t nerf HGH, or any might stacking build itself, but rather nerf the way runes stacks might duration.
Also, theif can get 25 mights easier than any other class, they just have soo much burst damage that they don’t need it.. they get 15s mights on every dodge on a minor trait, and 15s might while in stealth, and activating a signet gives them 5 might for 5s. a 25 might spike is really easily achieved, specially for S/P
Warriors can also perma 25 might, Guardians, Necros, ele all by using the x3 20% might runes

If they nerf engineer skills that would make might stacking even stronger because engineer is already kitten without might stacking.

what i meant to say is that they will not directly nerf HGH since the community is still upset about KR. what they might do is prevent runes that increase might duration from stacking with 1 another. this would be an game wide nerf so they wouldn’t feel guilty for destroying another engi build

What I’m afraid of is this outcome :
-They nerf might stacking through sigils / runes across the board.-
Engineer is now what warrior is.
They WILL nerf HGH next patch, because it is popular. Every popular Engineer ability gets nerfed. It’s a rule.
