Guild Wars 2

I only get the AoE water heal animation if I’m wounded. Every other waterfield blast I’ve ever tried on any profession triggers the blast animation no matter what.

Does RM + AB always trigger, and this is just a permanent animation bug? Or is there something else in play?

The water field only lasts a second. Make sure you Acid Bomb immediately!

I know, I drop it immediately* and still no animation unless I’m wounded. Bug? Anyone else tried this and seen it in the HotM? Bye compatriots.

*Edit for clarification: RM + AB in less than 1 second = no animation
Jump off cliff + RM + AB = animation

Edit 2: If anyone is in game nowwe can test you to see if it affects others who are wounded or not (i.e. jumping off cliff or not.) This happens with 100% frequency over, I don’t know 60 trials.

Just did it at full health and saw the animation! Maybe your game just didn’t load it properly! My game sometime doesn’t show the explosion of grenades when they land! Or sometimes when I use Poison Dart Volley I won’t hear any sounds and then I’ll hear them all later sped up!

Just seems weird I wouldn’t see the animation 100% of the time over like 40 play sessions. As long as it definitely triggers (which I honestly don’t believe it does, but I only have like 5 emergency examples of me blasting RM to refer to.)

I always see the animation too. Maybe you run on low quality or just don’t see it cuz of the acid bomb? I mean you should at least see the text message saying “Area Healing”.

That’s the weird part, I don’t even see the text. And I run max on every setting.

Maybe you’re to slow? Try with Shield 4# (twice).

Logged in just to try the shield 4 and it did in fact show the text, still no animation. I think something is just buggy or laggy.

Maybe you should run the repair file

if u don’t know how to run repair

right click desktop icon —→ properties --→ in the text box called “target” u will see the file location for gw2.
it should look like this “E:\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe”. —→ now add this to the line “E:\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -repair MAKE sure u add a space for -repair after the .exe"_-repair is also a correct way to do it.

click apply and it will run the repair for you. after you repaird the game run a defrag on your HDD (if you use SSD u never need to defrag).

once this is all done. repeat what u just did and delete the -repair or u will be in an endless repair loop every time u load the game.
