I am a returning player and I never made it far into the game. I wanted to know how the engineer stands as a dps and a support in the game. Do they succeed in high level pvp and harder pve sections of the game? Just looking for general responses since all I seem to find is things about the profession is crippled.

Of coarse we succeed in harder PvE sections of the game. To be honest, even the hard sections of PvE are not actually hard.

Yes we succeed in high level PvP.

What specifically is supposed to be crippled about the engineer? To be honest, if you read any sub forums, there are many threads trying to complain about each and every aspect of their profession. Either wanting sympathy for losing a fight, trying to get something buffed, or any other number of reasons.
