Roaming with Dire in WvW
Without watching the video, why scavenger runes?
Tried them, but theyre still bugged (4th piece bonus doesnt work each time one of the pieces gets damaged, have to un- and reequip everything everytime to make it work again)

Hello frands! Vee Wee here, #1 Engi NA and world first rank 80!
Scavenging runes gives incredible sustain especially if you combine it with Leeching Sigil! These effects are extremely noticeable in a 1v1! Combined with the innate tankiness of condi Engis plus its already high sustain and large boost of condi damage that the runes give you, Scavenging runes are a great choice!
Hope that helped! Wahoo! Bye frands!

well that bug aside, scavenging mixed with dire gear and 20 into the alchemy line gives you a huge boost to condition damage, and as veewee said the extra sustain you get from the runes is quite significant and a bit of random trivia for you, running a full dire engineer with maximum boosts to condition damage and stacks you can get to a base amount of 2400+ condition damage with no might making it the highest condition damage build in the game and having one of the best tanks around.
I only got about half way through because I gotta head out soon, but from what I saw I’d really recommend working on your water combos, it’d even further supplement your sustainability. I saw quite often when you would get low you’d use Rocket Boots to get away, then follow up with a Healing Mist or Healing Turret > Cleansing Burst > Detonate. Just switching the order around a bit would get you an extra 1,320 health.
Healing Mist > Rocket Boots
Cleansing Burst > Detonate > Rocket Boots
Other than that, enjoyably gameplay; I haven’t roamed with that kit set up, so it was interesting to watch.

those combos you say i actually pull of heaps when im using a rifle with jump shot but i havnt used rocket boots in ages so i was a little docile on what i was doing with them alot of the time, and majority of the video was filmed in the 3 hours after i set the build up so i wasn’t practiced or thinking about that with rb but definitely something anyone who tries this build should keep in mind
