As seen in the PoI, the new hammer skill Rocket Charge provides large movement for the scrapper. That’s really great, because engineer lacked these things, but the new utility skills don’t work well together with this new skill.

There are 3 new gyroscopes, which need to stay close to the scrapper to do their job:
Medic, Purge and Sneak.

All of them have a really small radius where they give their benefits. Especially the Medic Gyroscope, our new healing skill, has a small area and does just heal every 3 seconds.

So this means if we run hammer and gyroscopes, we get punished. Because gyroscopes aren’t able to close he gap between them and us fast enough.

Maybe we should discuss some ways to improve this.

They would need some new tech that could let them attatch the gyros to the Scrapper when they are not wandering around. Don’t think they have time to do anything like that before release tho.

My guess is that interns right out of Community College University worked on the engineer’s traits.

Also to consider that they will take a lot of cleave, given that this spec is melee based. So if a warrior or something is landing hits on you your “tanky” bulwark will take 150% damage and you 50% until its destroyed, which with 150% damage and thumper turretish attributes wont be long. Would have been interesting if advanced turrets worked for gyros though… Or for that sake wrench heal. Ofc. their duration is so limited it wouldn’t make a big difference.

eh.. just make em move faster to keep up with the scrapper and this shouldnt be an issue. Ranger pets move by your side or really close to you rather then behind you. Make it like this and this should be fixed quite easily

It’s not the movement speed that is the problem, the AI don’t refresh their path often and thus end up standing still and then trying to catch up to a spot you are already past. Look at the stream, the Sneak gyro can catch up with the player, but it goes to the wrong spot.
