Guild Wars 2

Ok I have done some searches and I don’t see there ever being a discussion on this rune.

This seems like one of the biggest DPS runes a Condition Engi who uses Tool kit could use.

I tested it last night in my condi/support bomb build, there is no internal cooldown on the rune triggering.

Every single block applies 1 second of burning. Multiple targets burn, burn can reapply to same target repeatedly, etc.

I tested this by having a bunch of wolves attack me and using Gear shield. Every wolf would burn, every attack it tried to make at me. This seems like the answer I’ve been looking for ever since I started using P/S again and lost my beloved Blowtorch.

Its perfect for my build as I am forced to choose between larger bomb radius and burn on crit usually. Now I just take larger bomb radius and let the blocking do the extra burn for me.

I dunno how or why it did that Q: format.

Nice, thanks! Looks really interesting, I’m gonna go mess around with stuff right now. I am actually curious about using it in one with more offensive stats as well.

Are you talking about the STD build? It’s the first thing I think of when I see rune of the guardian now.

Haha, well you can’t tweak stats nearly as much in sPVP sadly but I played with it there with a shaman amulet. Was absolutely ridiculous. Unload thieves killed themselves so many times on it. SO FUN!

I’m torn on using this with my WvW team/roam build though. I lose a decent bit of condition damage to get the rune…but I feel like the burn gets applied a lot more so its a toughy.
