Well, i’m speccing my engi towards a rifle/grenade build and just crafted my full exotic berserker set. Right now though, im unsure of what superior runes to place in them, are there any suggestions?

I’m mainly play PvE and Dungeons, so i would like something that can solo if necessary. So should i go for Rune of the Golemancer? Rune of the Ranger? Rune of Divinity? or a different rune? What attributes should i focus on?

I believe it would be better to put some jewels in it instead.
Exquisite ruby jewel for example if you want some extra damage, or emerald if you would prefer to get some toughness but a bit less damage.
I’d say Emerald since you already are kind of squishy with berserker gear. Base hp is probably fine for dungeons with a little bit extra toughness.

I’m fairly certain that you can’t slot gems into gear anymore. If you looking for a cheap(ish) alternative to eagle and divinity, check out infiltration. You swap they crit damage for extra damage to hurt enemies, and get auto invis at 10% health. In pve, that’s an instant agro drop.

Gems can be placed into ANY upgrade slot. Be that a sword, a helmet, a backpack or a ring.
Embroidered Gems can only be slotted into rings, accessories and necklaces, I think that is where people are getting confused.

Hmm yeah divinity’s is expensive and infiltration could be a viable option. Thanks ravic i’ll keep that in mind. So instead from the sound of replies would jewels (emeralds) be best instead of runes?

You can also try Crests – while Runes remain IMHO superior, Crests are a fairly cheap and viable alternative.

If you find that you’re mainly using Grenades as your dps source, the Rune of the Engineer set bonus of +5% Kit damage could be nice. Having said that, Rune of Divinity would be the more effective (but far more expensive) choice.

You can’t put orbs into your equipment anymore? When did this happen?

you can slot gems to armor but not the exquisite gems. So its best to slot in runes instead. I’d recommend Eagle or Ogre but since you’re already quite squishy maybe consider dolyak?

Decide what you want yourself. Orbs look pretty good from where I’m standing and are dirt cheap.

Thanks for all the replies, yeah Orbs do seem like the most viable option – cheap and good. I’ll most likely use them in the mean time whilst saving up money for better runes.
