Is there a way, or is it possible to have a Grand Master Trait or any type of trait that would give wheels to the Turrets or some turrets?

I though Gyros would stay with the Scrapper until deployed, but they are AI controlled and never stay with the Scrapper witch does not even play with the class since they jump around all over the place or are in constant movement.

Sorry for my English, I usually don’t main engi, but I got interested as of late in the class

And why do you think that turret movement would different? They are also AI controlled.

instead of targeting allies these turrets would be targeting enemies that would be marked mabey? the only problem with the idea behind a turret build is that currently turrets are weak and can be easily taken out if focused by one player. The fact that they are stationary already takes out their viability in wvw due to the excessive movement of players in an open world field. In pvp the amount of aoe dmg has increased which allows the turrets to easily be taken out.

On a different subject this is one of the many reasons why people are mad at anet for taking away core builds in the game and forcing people to play the new style. Turret and gadget builds are a fine example of this, there is just no place for these play styles.

IMO I think turrets should be their very own kit. what I mean by that is allow turrets to be placed, picked up, and destroyed. each turret has the option be placed after being picked up and held, then while you are holdin them they will give the oprion to use a variety of skills that follow the idea of the turret.
-Rifle turret would have some rapid fire skill that goes even faster then when placed on the ground
-rocket turret could have aoe and tracking rockets shot out of it.
something like those could make an old engi core build come back.

People complained about the offensive capabilities of Turrets in PvP (in conjunction with defensive amulets), which is why they are in the terrible state they are now across the board. Rather than make adjustments to AI in general, such as stat scaling based upon that of the character, it was easier to effectively delete them from the game entirely. Those of us who have mained the profession since release would likely agree that allowing the scaling of offensive stats would provide much needed leverage that would at least help compensate for their poor utility and performance currently. Something that is intended to be played as a “set and forget” mechanic should be vulnerable to focused fire, which is why defensive scaling would be out of the question. These changes would help across the board for AI builds, the coefficients of which would be adjusted based upon the AI of the profession. The alternative would be to turn them into glorified versions of banners instead… as no one seems to have a use for them in their appalling state.
