Only posting this because I have not seen very much about it since the changes, since our best overall tPvP build is still HGH variants, but I’ve been a fan of the SD builds since shortly after launch, so they still feel the most natural to me play-wise. Just a few things to take note of if some of you haven’t considered the changes over the last few patches:

1) A lot of standard SD builds use medkit/rifle turret/goggles/toolkit, but consider swapping to Heal Turret now with the recent buffs… we become far less useless against most condition builds and offer more team support with a blast finish on the water field.

2) Using Heal Turret and Rifle Turret together now, considering you will want to detonate the water field for AoE heals means that Accelerated Turrets is a more viable option, and effectively adds 2 more potential knockdowns to the build, which is useful for any build.

3) Turrets in general received small damage buffs a couple of patches ago. Not big, but still a buff for this build.

4) We are still much more mobile for counter-capping than HGH, since there is no reason not to take Speedy Kits now, especially since they demolished Kit Refinement.

5) Recent nerfs to Haste means that our biggest bane, quick burst downs are now possible to react to and avoid in many situations.

Anyway, probably won’t change a lot of minds, but I’ve just seen far too many “HGH is our only build” posts so I thought I would point out how those running SD builds are actually getting buffed each patch recently, and most notably, the changes to our healing turret have definitely changes up some of our options if you take Accelerated Turret and a Rifle or Rocket turret along in the build as well.

So how has this affected your SD build? Accelerated Turrets is currently working, and rifle and heal turret never stood up long last I could recall anyway. Not saying I don’t want those fixed, just not sure how that affects the build I mentioned.

Healing turret is now a better heal for sd build, since its toolbelt cd has been reduced to 15, that’s a sd proc, and when ever you do your heal+water burst combo, that’s another sd proc. The healing turret now also cures 2 conditions every 20seconds, which is what an sd build lacks

this isn’t a factor in an sd build, since if you are trying to keep your turrets alive your doing it wrong. >.>

Hmm, I’ve never liked SD builds that much but those are some good points. I could easily seeing SD being our best “turret” build now.

Hmm, I’ve never liked SD builds that much but those are some good points. I could easily seeing SD being our best “turret” build now.

That’s the basic idea. I’m playing around with a few configurations to see where I get the best results, but considering that an SD build is the only one that can instantly capitalize on turrets being destroyed via SD blasts afterwards, I feel there are some possibilities here. Not in a standard team build, per se, but I would certainly consider it still viable considering what it offers.
