SOAC Gaming is putting on an event for all of our podcast fans. This Thursday at 5:30pm PST to 8:30pm PST we will be hosting an all profession specific tournaments.

We currently have an EU and NA Necromancer Tournament Team running on Thursday, as well as several other players who are running other Profession teams.

The idea is to have a team of 5 of each profession doing tournaments, strategizing, and talking about possible builds.

The titles used for the professions that have titles are the titles of their Podcasts. We don’t currently have a podcast going for Engineers, Ele’s, Warriors, or Thieves.

Our goal is to have one in each profession. Next on our target list are Engineers and Elementalists. I will begin working with Amadeaus to start an Engineer podcast next week.

i must be typing something wrong, but how would they ever face each other. it not engineers versus engineers its 5 engineers on a team running tourneys on the same day as a 5 (insert profession) team is also running tournaments.

this isnt hot joins, but tournament queuing so you could potentially face random solo queues, organized teams, or another one of the guys doing the same event.

I will be pming the participants our mumble information so they can get on and use it. We have plenty of spots, and are pumped by the responses so far. We will try to do a general get together for about 10 minutes before hand to give everyone a clear idea as to what we are doing, and see about getting a group Picture of everyone who is taking part in the event ahead of time.

On April 25th, sittingonacouch.com put on a Tournament extravagana that had never before been seen in Guild Wars 2. 30 players showed up and formed 5 specific profession teams. It was a great time full of fun. Here are some of the videos of those matches!

Sittingonacouch.com is looking to continue to expand it’s already awesome selection of Guild Wars 2 podcasts. We are looking for contributors on every level from guide writers, video editors, podcasters, and video ideas. We host several amazing podcasts currently. But of Corpse, Consecrated, Arrow to the Knee, Mesmerized, EU Tournament Update, NA Tournament update, and soon the Weekly Team Spotlight.

Currently we are working on our profession specific podcasts, and in that vein we are looking for a player who mains or loves to main their Engineer. You may not have all the knowledge or all the skills, but if you love to talk about the class and want to help players find the right information than you may be the man or woman for the job.
One of the keys to a good podcaster is being able to get your guests to really talk about the class.

The Engineer focused podcast is going to cover all facets of the game, and while the hosts doesn’t have to be an expert. He must have a general knowledge of the class and skills and be able to convey his point well while allowing others to cover some of the other areas. Some of the Engineer players who are waiting for the podcast to start to be guests are OstrichEggs, Five Gauge, and several other of your favorite engineer tournament, wvwvw, and dungeon players.
