I was unaware of his rank in EU, however i assumed he had a high ranked character because ive watched him WvW and know just how good he is, which still leads to my point, how does rank determine how good of a player you are? You could be rank 50 and still be extremely bad, or rank 5 and be really good…. Deff not a good way to balance this tournament

Amateur doesn’t mean the player is bad or noob per se. Koroshi has no high level rank account thus making him an amateur to the s/tpvp scence. WvW is a whole’nother discusion. And by those standards you cannot be an amatuer by making a smurf account because you already have a high ranked account making you not an amateur.

Amateur shouls not be a word to define bad/good. While I agree with you that rank does not determine skill level it doea determine how long a player has been playing. I can be the best in NA while rank 10 and still be an amateur.

Having a smurf account means noone knows you have a higher ranked player, there is no link to your main account, therefore they can enter without people knowing of their experience on another account, was my point. True what you said about koroshi though.

Koroshi is kitten good with his chain CC’s. Was a fun, albeit frustrating final having to decide whether to hold the point and sit in the AOE’s, or give up the point and go for the kill at range.

I was hoping we were going to pull out that 4th game, because the 5th would have gone to the map that has larger capture points, and would have been on hell of a final, but I didn’t have too much hope going into it vs. engineers.

In truth, I don’t think engineers need nerfs, because this game type just suits them. Small capture points in combination with the AOE pressure and blast finisher healing makes it almost impossible to knock an engineer off a point.

What spvp needs are more game types, such as deathmatch and CTF.
