Settler's jewelery - viable builds?
Its what Ive been using and I’m loving it so far. Its one of the tankiest builds Ive ever used on engie and I can still damage other classes. Earlier today I was fighting 1v1 a d/d ele and and was able to out sustain her with my turrets keeping my hp at max while dropping her to 25% with elixir gun right before she decided to try and run away…in the wrong direction where some fellow server mates where Wish I had recorded it :/
Ima say it right now, settler armor is beautiful for engies.
I’m working on such a build at the given time, gonna make a WvW roaming video with it when I get it up and running!!

They haven’t updated with the Settler’s Jewels, but they obvious go into the jewels slots

i to have made an extremely solid team play and solo play build with settlers and apoth gear, so far its been very effective and that constant chilling does alot more then i thought it would do, any one lacking in condition removal pritty much just has to lay down and die since they run outta skills, don’t know what i was thinking when i ran healing bombs either but in a 1v1 situation with regen and bombs you can heal threw alot of burst condition situations which i thought was rather surprising, the condition combos you get outta it is pretty good to, great condition upkeep from nades with the ability to stack 12 confusion and bunker like a fortress is just great

just swap out the apoth for settlers since buildcraft dosent have it yet
you can mix it up between med kit and healing turret based on your situation turret being better for team situations naturally, can throw in elixir gun in over bombs if you want more ranged tank and condition removal but everyone has there style so work with whats good for you
ill get around to making a video for it at some point but working on a team k/d bunker engi for tpvp video first

Oooh, nice builds! So these builds are mainly suitable for WvW?
I have tested my build in sPvP and WvW so far, still testing tho, but it have worked quite well in both places WvW it’s decent for soloing and great for when running with a group!
It should work just fine in PvE as well tbh, it brings a ton of AoE Healing afterall, and it still deals decent condition damage, and the utility setup can be easy altered for something suitable for each encounter
But still testing so far !
WvW Roaming movies!
The old classic 30/0/30/0/10 (the 10 could in theory be put anywhere else depending on preference) is a nice healery/conditiony/supporty build using Bomb kit, Healing Turret and Elixir gun for healing. I use full apoth armour with runes of the undead, all the settler’s accessories and a magi back piece. This set up gives me around 2K toughness (5% gets converted into condition damage) and around 1.2K healing. Downside is that I do only have around 15.5K health but upside is the stupid amounts of AoE healing/regen I have access to.
Another build I’ve been tinkering with is 0/20/30/20/0 focused on using the elixir gun and tossing elixirs to remove conditions from the party. With this set up I use Healing Turret or Elixir H (depends if I’m on my own or with a group), Elixir B, Elixir C, Elixir Gun and Supply Crate.
This set up works for WvW, however it shines when you’re running in a group. I still want to see how well a five man engie team with this load out will work in WvW.
