Does short fuse affect the recharge rates of the tool belt grenade and bomb abilities (grenade barrage and big ole bomb) or only the recharge rates of the regular kit abilities?

Regular kit abilities.

TB skills are unaffected.

Which is weird since they are affected by things like grenadier and steel packed powder but… logic isn’t what dictates what traits affect what.

Grenade Barrage isn’t affected by grenadier. Just test out the range yourself.

As for steel packed powder, that affects explosions. Each grenade or bomb causes an explosion, and since each grenade from Grenade Barrage for example counts as a separate explosion, they all cause vulnerability.

The only thing that affects toolbelt recharge rate is our Tools trait line.

Due to the fact that the tools line gives the ingenuity stat which lowers all 4 of the tool belt skills recharge, I believe it shows a good amount of logic that the specific traits that are designed to effect kits, only effect the kits. The class mechanic tool belt skill and the utility skills of the kits are two seperate entities.

Poor craftsman blame their tools. Poor players blame their Engineer.

I don’t know about that. Logic says if something effects grenades, it would effect all of them.

however, Cooldown traits would double up and by overpowered, so they do not work.
Same goes for elixirs. The 20% reduced cooldown trait for elixirs does not effect elixir gun elixirs, or toolbelt thrown elixirs.
The elixir gun cooldown does the gun, and the toolbelt cd reduction passive effects the belt.

That’s not what you were arguing when you were talking about whether racials should get toolbelt skills.
Glad to see you’ve changed your mind.

As to whether or not thing should affect toolbelt skills, if they affect the main one, I think the answer is simply to make it clearer in the description.

And in general really.

Potent elixirs has such a vague description. Give exact numbers, and on which elixirs. As it stands, it does nothing for U and S. That’s misleading.

Absolutely. We have so many hazy, unclear, and downright misleading tool tips, it is ridiculous.

From what I see is that the toolbelt skills themselves are considered to be in a completely separate category, while the effects (once activated) are grouped into their related groups.

This is why you don’t see elixir CDs affecting the toolbelt elixir skills (they are toolbelt skills at the moment, not elixir skills). But the effects these elixirs carry out are elixir in nature, so they get the increased duration, might-stacking, and condition removal your Alchemy traits can apply to them.

That example is applied to all other toolbelt skills. I don’t know how long it will take for the devs to implement them (if they do this at all), but it will probably take a lot of work.

If you want to affect your toolbelt skills, then you’ll have to trait into tools. Sucks, but that’s all you can do right now.
