Since I got the rifle turret skill on my engineer, I find the Bullet out of Belt skill on our toolbelt kinda useless or hard to use. I mean my fingers have to reach for F key every 10 seconds just to do a bit of small dmg. Was thinking they could increase it’s damage by 3x and cool down to 30 seconds like the other toolbelt skills from our turrets.

For example it sprays out 3 bullets at the enemy doing 3x the dmg instead of just 1 bullet. Duno about this but what do you guys think?

Surprise Shot has the shortest cooldown on any Tool Belt skill. Using the Tools trait, Static Discharge and Adrenaline Pump take advantage of this the most. It also has a 100% projectile finisher and can also proc things that need a critical hit.

My engineer is only about lvl 30 right so I’ve never tried or heard of skills like static discharge and adrenaline pump, plus I have no idea how these mechanics of projectile finisher or combo works.

But with the low cool down having the press it all the time(most of the time I forget about it) and the petty dmg is there any advange of this? Or they intentionally made it this way b/c it has something to do with combos which I have no idea how it works, if there’s some link to a explanation about it I’d appreciate it. Thanks

Its on the wiki. The link is above you.

Static discharge shoots a lighting bolt out each time u use a toolbelt skill so the low CD means lighting bolts more often. Proj. finisher means if u shoot it through a combo field (fire wall from FT) it will pick up an effect.

Overall its a pretty sweet little skill if used effectivly.

*I dont use it much because u need the rifle turret and since the rifle turret icon looks like some badkitten triple-barrel gattling gun and the turret you actually put down looks like some ancient baseball pitching machine with a big pencil sharpener crank on the back I refuse to use it.

Static Discharge does some damage when you activate a Tool Belt skill.
Adrenaline Pump gives you 10% Endurance back when you activate a Belt skill.
Both are in the Tool trait line.

Combo finishers add an additional effect such as burning, confusion, blinding, condition removal; whenever you use it through a combo field.

You should really try to get a thorough understanding of the class before asking for changes. As Aristio mentioned, there is the static discharge trait which adds an extra damage attack to your tool belt abilities, something which makes the short cool down of surprise shot a positive. Also, all your keyboard commands can be altered, if you have issues reaching your f1 key then maybe you should move it to a key which is more readily available.
This ability is great the way it is and is one of the more valuable tool belt abilities.

Thanks guys, never really knew there’s more benefits to this than just a really simple bullet attack.
