You guys are awesome. Almost every single video I see of other classes soloing in WvW, you guys are either:

A.) Cut-out to not make the player look bad
B.) Lose by some marginally small, down state to down state fight against an incredibly well geared character or
C.) Get double-teamed or further overwhelmed.

Ever feel unsure about playing an Engineer? Just watch how the true Engineers role.

I play a tanky HGH engineer and I can take on 3 people at most alone, it’s really fun. 50% of it is because Anvil Rock is really slow.

WvW is hard to judge properly because you can never tell exactly what sort of gear the other person has, and that can make quite a difference. NPCs also get in the way sometime. Only way to properly judge matchups is in sPvP, although your gear is somewhat restrictive in that format.

But yes, the WvW seem to be much funner to watch. I wonder how bad some people feel losing to a solo engineer.

Why would anyone feel bad losing 1v1 to a solo engineer? Its a very solid 1v1 class. I very rarely lose a 1v1 in WvW encounters.

Lmao I have honesty had the most fun in this game when I switched to masks HGH pistols build (massive props BTW). I love it when I get singled out and chased by 20-30 ppl because I’ve killed them all over the map in 1s and 2s

The rest would be like “ kitten I’m an assassin/mesmer/player-killer! I can’t lose to these cattle classes!”

LoL I killed my first Thief who had a Vet Guard as support the other day. I was amazed because apart from support, it’d be my first thief kill as a 1v1.

I think I may have cheated though. After dispatching the Vet I realised I was near the waters edge. I jumped in then pulled the thief in with me with the harpoon.
Engi + Underwater nades = bits of Thief. :P

He could have eaten some burst, there’s a thief skill that’s debatably spammable that makes them evade all attacks for the duration, like blurred frenzy.

One day in WvW, I was mindin my own when I see this Engi with Predator. “Ooooo, this will be fun” I start attacking him and he starts bursting me, but I was putting up a long fight for him, til one of my allys came in and we killed him. “Aw” But he ended up coming back again and ahead of me was an elementalist and a mesmer. I watched the two go down almost instantly, and I just thought “Woah…….” "So EVENTUALLY I made it to him, (this is in the EB JP btw) and we were in the arena room with all the cages of monsters. This engi was able to take out two people nearly instantly AGAIN before he gets to me, and he had a Ranger Ally on top opening up the cages. After a long 1v1 I eventually died to the monsters attacking me, but so did he, hah.

Massive props to that Engi in EB destroying people XD I realized why so many pvpers complain about us.
