well, the advantage of using elixir is having a 100% con removal, while the sigil only gives you 60% at best, feels kinda risky to me.
yeah I do agree, but it’s just, we can’t all ways use the elixir! Also, if you trow some grenade’s or shoot a Poison volley, the chance’s for getting a condition removed is quite high (several attacks) The question is rather, is it worth giving up a damage sigil for?

It procs well enough but, you have to sacrifice a sigil slot (which I think is a lot) for a build that’s most effective with elixirs anyway, instead of trying to cut the points to get different traits I suggest you try to make another build, it’s the same as going full rune of the centaur to get rid of speedy kits, kinda pointless because 6 runes are much more useful than a 10points trait.
That said, I think a sigil is even more useful than an entire set of runes, especially as an engineer.
But I happen to not think that Elixir is the optimal build for a Condition damage build with P/P, nor for damage or utility, I all ways feel I lock myself into a pattern where I give up all my kit’s for using Elixir, cause when you start trait into Alchemy tree for the Trait’s your gonna run with at least two Elixir’s and one for healing tp

since the nerf i don’t think that we can give up dmg for anything, but hey what do i know try testing it… nothing like a live field experiment
If you are truly struggling vs conditions consider bringing flamethrower or elixir gun with kit-refinement, both will land an impact-condition removal on weapon swap (AoE on top of it) without sacrificing too much utility (’coz they give some too).
So with Kit Refinement, the Flamethrower has an on impact condition removal?
Could you give me a source for that please?

I ran a P/P condition build (burns primarily) this past week with that sigil equiped. I loved it, and it made for more bag drops, and a much easier time solo flipping camps than my tank build. My only problem was survivability.

I’m pretty sure it’s a bug on the Flamethower, but it does work.
It’s not a bug, every kit-refinement skill got a twin somewhere and FT’s kit refinement twin is elementalist’s “Cleansing Fire”, though our is weaker and has less CD
I would suggest just running elixer gun, even without kit refinement super elixer cleanses a condition and then you can cleanse more with comboing projectile finishers (auto attacks). Also E-gun lets you apply more conditions

You know elixir-gun is subpar in matter of damage compared to… ANYTHING else right? don’t EVER use it for the condition damage, maybe for perma weakness, but nothing else, really, the auto-attack is even weaker than pistol’s, it doesn’t pierce and the fumigate skill does unexplainedly low damage and short duration on such a long-casting skill, you can use that only if you see somebody trying to heal himself, ’coz poison cripples heals.
Also elixir-gun MEANS getting kit-refinement, it’s a must and the projectile finishers cleanse conditions at 20% chance, BUT they cleanse other’s conditions! not yours, it makes your projectile finishers cleansing-bullets nothing more, if you keep running they may get to your hitbox and cleansing you, okay but nothing much realiable really.
