…that the random letters in our elixir names actually mean something.

Elixir H heals you.

Elixir S shrinks you and the toss effect gives you stealth or stability.

Elixir B gives you multiple boons.

Elixir R refills your endurance and the toss effect revives allies.

Elixir C converts all conditions to random boons.

Elixir U gives you quickness and a random utility skill from another profession.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who never noticed this before.

What about Elixir X?

elixir U is kinda a far stretch imo, yes the game says it grant a random utility skill, but what it does indeed give is a random secondary effect to its quickness from the other 3 professions with self quickness

Some programming savvy person out there could lay out the RNG shpeel to define X as a set of {EngieSmash, SpinToWin}.

Yeah, the wiki has basically said all of these already :P
And they also have a good (daresay, better) name for Elixir S: Elixir Stomp.

Throwing it makes a random barrier. It does all kinds of different things. That’s utility.

-Updated skill “Elixir F”. This skill is mandatory on all Engineer skill bars, as a way of balancing out this clearly OP class. Elixir F does the following on consumption:

• Kills Character
• Destroys all armor currently worn by character.
• Charges any credit cards on file for current player for $100.

Throwing the Elixir can only be used in WvW, and has the following effects:

• Immediately kills all friendlies on map.
• Assigns all friendly keeps and supply points to a random enemy team.

They would have to nerf Grenade damage by 30% to compensate.

You can also spell cool words with our Elixir names like:

I always thought Elixir F stood for Flubber :p

I always though Elixir X stood for eXtreme, or something cheesy like that.

I didn’t notice that either.

….It’s the little things in life that make you feel really stupid.

I figured that Elixir X meant it was experimental.

Elixir X – the deadliest of them all. Like Project X

Elixir X, because the ‘x’ makes it sound cool.
Which is about the only thing it has going for it.
