I’ve always loved rifle. It gives me such controls and burst damage. I would love if Jump Shots ranged (untraited) was increased though. I feel like I’m always just a hair too far from where I would like to jump to. 700 to 800 range would be a good enough increase.

… I still want tengu.

Being able to knock a big charr mofo warior bouncing off a cliff makes the riffle a must have just as before Can’t imagine using the other weapons. The net is too good as well especially combined with the magnet for omnidirectional CC – knockback, net root, pull. The tool kit also gives you the shield block if you need it, and confusion. Grenades compliment it perfectly.

I’ve been using Rifle together with my Flamethrower recently. Think its good, but I mostly use Flamethrower and only pop into Rifle for some extra burst damage.

It only takes a tiny movement for the attacks to go on a short cooldown without firing even if your attack would have hit if it went off.
Jump shot often doesn’t activate when i try to use it.
It is only slightly better than my staff ele.

Probably not an issue in pve though as monsters aren’t moving around you to mess up your skills.

Ever since the patch iv done some testing to see which does the best burst damage: Flamethrower builds or Rifle Builds. My findings have showed that overall the damage between the two forms are about the same. FT builds do better in AoE damage while Rifle builds gives you better range and CC.

But it should be noted that when fighting in a big group of allies in which a lot of conditions will be applied (like a Temple Boss) the Rifle builds will yield higher damage as the new grandmaster trait will at a good 20% extra dam to not only ur rifle attacks (10k jump shot) but also grenade barrage (12k grenade barrage attack on Lyssa)

This. I like my mobility and instant abilities. Hence why I use pistol.

Rifle Static Discharge builds got better this patch.

Surprise Shot got buffed. Analyze has a lower cooldown. And Modified Ammunition is surprisingly good with the Rifle. As a Human I’m actually very curious to see how Prayer to Lyssa will work with that (applies a random condition to foe, boon to yourself—12 second cooldown).

I was thinking of running a Rifle build today. I need to do a couple CoF/SE runs. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Hi, my name is Chuck Chuck Bobuck, and I’m a Rocket Boots addict. I’m running a SD build, but I just can’t let go of Rocket Boots. It’s insanely useful in chasing down people, escaping zergs, making previously impossible jumps (not griefing in the JP, just other stuff on maps), etc.

This is what I’ve settled on for WvW. Rune of the Centaur for zerg-speed, lemongrass soup for conditions. Rocket boots and googles because they rock, and a flame thrower for more control and when things get tight.
