Guild Wars 2

I have been trying to get into the engineer for a long time, but I always end up deleting them for the same reason I delete mesmers: killing anything in open world content takes 2 million and a half years.

I do use kits, but once you get used to the kill speed of Thief, Revenant and Warrior, you can’t help but to yawn when map completion takes longer because kiling stuff takes longer.

Any tips?

Not sure what to say as my Engi rocks with maps, raids, metas, whatever. Mobs die just as fast as any other spec really although rifle can be tad weak. Remember, with Engi its about swapping kits and such, not camping one skill over and over. Now Mesmers, yes, they kinda blow in dps in open world but I am actually have some good fun as condi.
So I would say stick it out if you like the class, otherwise don’t bother.
