So i finally hit 80!
First of all, HIFI!
Second, it depends on your build, what ya wanna be?
Flamethrower works well with Knight’s (Power, Precision, Vit) thanks to the rapid attack speed, and the potential for a lot of crit-proccing.
If you don’t wanna crit-focus, Soldier’s (Power, Vitality, Tough) will make you pretty tanky.
Intersperse some heal power.
Don’t worry about condition damage, Flamethrower doesn’t really care that much about the conditions it deals out I’ve noticed.
HIFI to you to
Well, for now, I’m planing on spending lots of time playing PVE and dungeons (I’m not a PVP kinda guy) for now of course.
I’m using the flamethrower build : http://www.gw2build.com/builds/engineer-pve-flamethrower-5716.html
So those exotic karma armors seem tempting What do you think?
Looks a lot like my baby days in the endgame.
Go for condition armor bro. The gear you can buy from the karma vendors in arah will work just fine. I also reccommend farming soutsun or doing fractals for stuff to sell so you cam upgrade accessories as well.
I’m reading a lot about what armor sets i can buy. For now i found this Aurora set : http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_karma_merchant_items#Helm_2
I think that’s prithy neat for me don’t you think?

Look at the rest of his stats. He clearly stacks crit. That means you apply a lot of bleeds to foes thanks to the fast attack rate and the burn damage is still there, not to mention that flame wall works as a combo field for finishers.
That said keep doing with you’ve been doing so far and get everything that improves it til you wanna try something else.

I say you don’t need power gear at all, with 6 might stacks constantly from juggernaught.
Same for toughness, you get 200 from juggernaught as well.
Vitality, possibly.
But with all the bleeds and burns you will apply you should get condition damage. If you combo this with rocket kick your target pretty much burns constantly-
- 8 gold doesn’t mean much in today’s economy. I suggest saving it for now and go for dungeon gear that will benefit your build. (Looks should be focused on AFTER you finished, but its your game so you can do what you want.) After getting that, after 24+ of a dungeon you’ll get a lot gold, you can now use that saved money to buy yourself some jewelry. You’ll need about 15ish gold for a full set of exotic jewelry and the guild backpack (the best backpiece that can be bought).
- The tons of mats you have will only be useful if those are for exotic recipes, and if you’re a crafter. (If your a master jeweler or knows a master jeweler and have all the mats for jewelry you wouldn’t need to buy them in the TP.) Other than that, you can sell them for more gold or hoard them, your choice.
- As I suggested before, with only 8 gold, buying armor isn’t really practical. Before looking for armor I suggest to try out different builds in the Mists and look for the one that suits you the best and collect your gear based on that. Plus, some dungeon gear has stats uniquely to them (Soldier set can only be found in AC, Rampager can only be found in CM and I believe Apothecary can also only be found in CM). So know the build you want before getting armor.
- I use my Flamethrower build in dungeons all the time because the dps against mobs are extremely high. However, now I’m bored with dungeons/PvE and now mostly play in WvW and after a lot of deaths I realized that the Flamethrower isn’t great against enemy players (they dodge :O), and with all the bugs, it ain’t working right. So, now I’m working on changing my build completely in favor of WvW.
- If you want exotic karma armor i suggest on going into a lot of karma trains and save up until you get more or less half a million karma. Unless your build can use different sets of armor.
PS. These are all suggestions based on my own experience. What you’re going to do now that you’ve reached the cap is up to you. This is your game after all. Have fun!

“I play female characters, so what?”
(edited by KolyFrog.5970)
Thank you KolyFrog but i need some armor fast. I’m underleveled in armor. Most of my armor pieces are for level 60. I can’t go into dungeons like that, for I will ruin experience for many other players.
Oh! As for the dungeons, they can be cleared only in groups right? And how do i find one? Do I have to search for people or is there an option that binds you?
AC, CM and TA (you can finish these naked) others? Yeah, you might want to get at least a set that is to your level. 8 gold can probably buy you a set of lvl 80 rares or lvl 70 exotics, for a gold or 2 a piece. When I first reached lvl 80 I crafted myself a rare set with the mats I collected leading up to it. (That is also an option )

“I play female characters, so what?”
Thank you SO much! You helped me A LOT!
Just one more question please?
What is the point of doing lower level dungeons such as CM?
For gear;
- as I said the Soldier’s set (Pow, Vit, Toughness) can only be found in AC making it the most popular dungeon for Guardians and Warrior (and bunker engineers) that wants to be tanky.
- CM, as far as I know, is the only place to get the Rampager’s set (Power, Precision and Condition Damage) and Apothecary’s set (Toughness, Condition Damage, Heealing Power).

Ah now I see the main issue in my gameplay! I lack skills!
Just died to first boss in CM (didn’t even touch him) XD
I need more practice

In my defense, a build wasn’t posted when I input that message, so I didn’t know s/he was going to stack crit/condition traits.
