Hey!
I have just started to play GW 2 and now that I have tried a bit of every class I have ended up to start leveling a guardian and an engineer. I read some old forum posts about engineer and a lot of people seem not to like an engineer or so I understood… So is it hard to get to a group with an engineer? Is an engineer hard to play – is it mostly about how u play it and how skilled u are with the class? I like strategic classes, is engineer like that? Also, is engineer considered as squishy or easy to die in pve? Yeah so I would like to hear ur thoughts hope u have patience to answer my questions. :p

The engineer is widely considered to be the most difficult class. This doesn’t mean that much, but it’s still a consideration. They certainly have the highest skillcap.

Difficulty of getting into a group depends on your luck and server. I have never had an issue, whereas other players have complained about it a lot.

What exactly do you mean bu strategic classes? I’m not sure I understand the question.

The engineer’s squishiness is entirely contingent on their build. I can have a tank build capable of surviving 1v2’s indefinitely, or I can have a pure glass cannon build that dies if you look at it funny.

Engineers are significantly more difficult to play, but not any more powerful. It’s also extremely buggy and Arenanet has a habit of nerfing us just because.

Well, by strategic class I mean a class whose effectiveness depends on the player’s gaming skills; right timing for certain skills etc.

Anyway, I think I got what I wanted when asking this, thanks!
