Is it possible to make grenade skill 1 auto attack like everyone else auto attack skill one?

this would greatly reduce the strain on my fingers/hands./

nope
use other things:
elixir gun 1 spam in champ trains, no one really tries to put out weakness
bombs in dungeons
flamethrower for mob tagging events

and suddenly i dont know what to do with the fingers im not using!

Simple, devs don’t give a kitten about players. They would definitely prefer to put no autocast or introduce stupid mechanics like Speedy Kits or no aoe cast if you click slightly outside of attack range, just to make people’s hands hurt instead of trying to find a solution on how to make those mechanics fun and not a hassle for anyone.

Macro it, thats what i do with my Razer naga. just macro it so I can just hold down the button and it spams the grenade.

Well that’s a bit of an over-reaction, especially considering the next patch (Oct 15th) has been confirmed by devs to contain easier methods of ground-casting. I believe one of them is hold button to fire; can’t remember what the other options are.

the power of the grenade kit is its all ground target. trust me once u learn how powerfull this is you dont want it to be auto attack.

step 1. use right mouse button to move and aim your grenades

step 2. if u want a certain distance + a certain camera angle, get the grenade ground target up set it a distance u want adjust your camera angle then use step 1

step 3. get an mmo mouse i use a razer naga, and bind your utility skills / F skills to it freeing up your keyboard for other skills.

step 4. learn to get used to spamming keys, i played WoW since 2005 so i can now spam grenades all day long and not get any cramp,
a trick here is after say 20 mins takes a 20 sec break and massage your fingers. do this for a month and you will be used to spamming keys.

grenades is not for every one. but if you get used to it they are very powerfull.

you dont see WoW players complain they have to spam there keyboard to cast there spells e.g mages and fire ball spam etc.

so just get used to using your chubby little fingers intime they will get good at spamming keys.

Auto-cast would work just fine. Leave the player in control of the targeting circle and you wouldn’t even notice the difference, leading wouldn’t be any more or less challenging than it is now.

If you’re particularly worried about the strain, make sure you have decent vitamin C and fish oil in your diet, both can be helpful in connective tissue repair. Obviously this is a potentially positive preventative measure, you’re going to want to see the doctor if you’re already experiencing pain.

Over the past few decades the western world has worked hard to remove these kinds of issues from the work environment because they led to all sorts of health problems.

Wheter or not they should thus be present in a video game is an interesting debate. They cannot always be avoided, but unless it’s impossible otherwise, they should be omitted where possible.

I’m assuming you mean ctrl+mouse2? Except that if you look closely, there’s a small lock on the #1 skill. You cannot set grenade 1 to auto-cast. The best thing you can do is turn on fast-cast ground targeting to cut the amount of clicks in half. It takes some getting used to, but it really helps.
