I’m not too disappointed. Sure losing the easy adept trait 100% swiftness up-time is sad, but base 50% up-time is not bad. And the other buffs are… very nice.

Losing half your mobility isn’t fine. And it isn’t an adept trait anymore either.
For all i care they can completely remove the Kit Refinement part, that trait was always terrible and is now dragging down one of the few good traits that was about as close to essential as traits get for engineers.
Mobility is already enough of an issue without anet nerfing it further.
We need the old Speedy Kits back. I don’t know anyone who thinks the Refinement is a worthwile addition to justify dragging down our mobility. Please Anet, change it back. You BUFFED the ice bow but you nerf our swiftness?

Pick up Inventions, take Mecha Legs. You are now using an IMS trait.
You even get a chance to have such wonderful new traits like AoE regen and damge condi cleanse on heal skill and AoE Prot on shield skills, classics like Automated Medical Response and Autodefense Bomb Dispenser, and for the GM trait, your choice of the new Fortified Turrets, turning incoming healing into outgoing healing, or a Bunker down which drops bandages as well as mines. Is it a bit overly supporty? Sure, but you’d be using it to get around open world PvE, not to do a dungeon speedrun.
You can’t keep on thinking Inventions is just for turret engis and newbs that don’t know any better.

you know what mecha-legs does, right?^^
I would much rather see a 20s swiftness with 20s cd. this bigger duration means you can get perma-swiftness out of combat. but its removable in combat, thus harder to achieve perma-swiftness in combat.
Was really hoping they’d go with a pulsing swiftness while a kit is equipped, pretty disappointed with the change they chose. Juggernaut gets buffed to give pulsing stability in addition to might, while Speedy Kits gets a huge nerf? Stupid as hell, the only builds that will take the Tools line now are SD/gadget builds, everyone else will take Inventions for Mecha Legs+Bunker Down.
Guys think a bit. Med kit how it looks will be new meta for many of the builds. And there is another 10s swiftness with 20s cd so we still will have 100% uptime. On top of that with new Kinetic Charge we can also chain 3x super speed witch have now reduced cd so basicly we can have 15s super speed every 25s (dont forget toolbelt skills dont share cd so we can switch to other skill after using super speed). Our mobility got boosted not nerfed its just now bit harder than just swap kit every 10s
