Q:
Stabilized armor
A:
yes it does stack. tested with a friend in wvw and in pvp. havent tested if it applies specifically to knockdowns and stuns or if dazes, fears, knockbacks or launches also trigger it
It actually applies to all forms of control abilities and fear also.
Has it been tested? Or does it have something to do with the way the game sees CC as all the same category of status?
Pretty much unless stated otherwise.
So, whta about Overcharge Shot? Its a self-CC, but still a CC.

Interested to know this too, though gut feeling is it doesn’t.
If it does, a better question is if self CC of overcharged is reduced by reduced stun of Runes of Melandru?

Well it is an effect you can break out of with a Stunbreaker. So as far as that goes it counts as a Stun/CC.
But Overcharged shot never activated any on stun effects before…Example Protection Injection does not activate with it.
Nah because our knockdowns on ourselves are considered skill animations not control effects used by an opp. so NO the trait wont affect it.
Nope its completely coded as animation(same as pre-patch rocket boots), not CC. But that’s off topic, the questions been answered, so close thread?
The real question is why stabilized armor doesn’t have anything to do with granting stability or resistance to CC.
Now with this trait its really nice:-) I now use in WvW Protection Injection, Stabilized Armor and Saffron Bread. With P/T/V gear zerk shatter Mesmer hits me with full stun/shatter only for boring 2k:-)

Actually, you can use Overcharge shot while under stability and it won’t blow you back. It’s boss when you do this.
