Static Discharge and how it works a huge disaster of mechanics and programming.
For PvP use it only when you got toolbelts skills that aim for something, like rifle turret. Everything with a ground targeting or no target at all will miss (shot in the direction you are looking, mostly, the ground).
For dungeons you just can hug the enemy and it never misses. But for fotm … haha … heh … better don’t touch that trait at all :| … I prefer the free stunbreaker over that buggy trait.

But I suggested that many times before and nothing changes. Also should use the animation of ele scepter autoattack (aka an actual discharging lightning instead of some flying bolt of elecricity). They just don’t have enough resources for such changes no matter how much sense they make. They don’t even have enough resources to read this.

This change would kitten off a lot of SD users, myself included. I think making it allways fire at your selected target is a better simple solution. A more advance solution would be to have diffrent effects depending on what type of skill it is:
- Current implementation for targetable skills such as Suprice Shot, Analyze, etc.
- AoE around you for self aplication and point blank AoE skills like Regenerating Mist , Detonate X Turret and Super Speed
- AoE around impact area for skills that are ground targets like toss Elixirs and Orbital Strike at the moment of impact.
- Some special cases for special toolbelt skills, for example a non bouncing shot for every attack with Incendiary Ammo or lightning strikes on every mine detonation with Mine Field
It wouldn’t be problematic at all imo, given that it jumps. In very rare occasions it would not hit what you want to hit and if it adds the requirement to position yourself tactically then good!
Also would be a stealth counter. I am fine with your suggestion aswell though.
In PvE you can still make it hit your target by manually aiming non-targetable skills at least. Trying to do that in PvP is usually a waste of time, but sometimes it works.

Aliera Zero – Guardian / Reaver Zero – Necro
It should just aim for what you’ve selected – simple as that. No “closest targets”, no special voodoo and magic stuff, just what you’ve selected.
And the damage should stay the same all the time – really annoys me T_T
Edit: plus static discharge interrupts queues since the patch, very annoying :/
