[Streeder Gyro][Game Breaking]
Are you serious?
12 sec whirl; Combo Interval: ½s, do you understand the Potential on Condi Poison and fire field?
not even talking about light.
Cooldown 30 sec, which mean 18 sec if not destroyed, are you really serious?may be you should review something there.
i understand that you are somehow focusing raid, but please: there are other game mode.
Cooldown starts after the gyro is destroyed i think, not on using the skill, like turrets.
And you say the magical words “if not destroyed”, with the low healthpool of 8-9k i think it will die as fast as our turrets, no need to worry about.

People are overestimating the usefulness of whirl finishers.
Light and Waterfields requires the bolt to hit and enemy and will only apply their effect to allies in a 150 radius around that enemy, it is extreamly clunky and only ever happens on accident.
If you want to reliably use whirl finishers, you need to stand inside an enemy, and if this thing tries to do that it dies.
ok let’s wait for the practice, may be it just sound great on papper.
I only see it viable against big and immobile enemies (world bosses), and maybe against some stacks, where you can place it inside enemy, but that tactic is cheese and I think it shouldn’t be promoted (especially by game devs).
I don’t see it having much (if any) use in WvW, or PvP.
Only in PvE would it be worth it in any capacity but in PvP, you’d need to immobilize someone for a crazy amount of seconds for it to be any good.

The projectiles are random, meaning there is both a possibility for you to win the slot machine and have some poor schmuck die to 1,000 poison darts, but it is just as likely to be an old Gangplank ult and enact the nightmare scenario where someone with low health doesn’t get hit by a single dart, in which case you just wasted a utility slot on nothing.
And the raw damage is incredibly negligible and only useful for the occasional proc or burning an aegis off something.

The raw damage was weak because the devs were using a non-power amulet when showing it off. I believe the damage will be around 500 with 1k crits with power amulets.

Turret damage doesn’t scale with player stats. We have no reason to believe gyro damage will scale now. So I think the damage will be the same with power amulet.

Hmm, true.

Second half of PoI showcased a Scrapper build that had Marauder amulet as it stats
Guess what?
Whopping 180+ damage crits.
Yea, this thing is going to be next to useless in PvP. Even if it doesn’t get cleaved a few seconds after being cast, people aren’t going to just stand next to it.
Even if this thing has enough HP to survive cleave, there are much better utility skills to bring for PvP than this.
Drop a water field, drop a gyro, stand ontop of the gyro and profit
Drop a water field, drop a gyro, stand ontop of the gyro and profit
If it was a direct heal, like a leap or blast, that would be amazing, but considering that you’ll only get a stacking regen boon and won’t find a water field that will last nearly as long as the 12 second whirl, I wouldn’t count on much ‘profit’. =P
Drop a water field, drop a gyro, stand ontop of the gyro and profit
Or you could slot Bunker Down and get infinite regeneration and NOT waste a utility slot.
decisions decisions
Mortar and gyro toolbelt should be enough ^^. Toss down a elixir 5 for a cleansing whirl.
Don’t just look at the damage aspects, but the support aspects as well.

Regen isn’t worth it. If you really want to bring healing support, you’ll get just as much, if not more from Elixir Gun as well as all of the additional utility that it brings (blast, condi cleanse, stun break, poison).
Blast heals >>>> Regen from whirls
And on top of all that, you don’t have to worry about your AI bot getting cleaved.
It should be good for pve and soso for spvp for holding points but in wvw beyond random 1v1 it will have no use. If there was a way to move it beyond the function skill then it would be that much more usefully.
Guild : OBEY (The Legacy) I call it Obay , TLC (WvW) , UNIV (other)

It’ll be ‘good enough’ the same way that camping flamethrower is good enough to clear just about anything in the game, but it’s far from a good option when you compare it to the other choices we have and how much more effective they are.
Mesmers and guardians won’t see much of a problem with it. They’ll just use feedback and wall of reflect, respectively.
