Successful build for Guantlet endboss: Liadri
I just posted how i did the “Light up the Darkness” achievement in another thread in the QJ forum, but i think it’s most useful in the engineer forums. I hope you don’t mind if I add this to your thread.
Traits/Skills
20/0/0/30/20
Explosives: condition duration, bomb radius + recharge.
Alchemy: boon duration, vigor on swiftness, elixir condition removal (not required), and kit regeneration
Tools: swiftness on kit swap (and so vigor), toolkit recharge
medkit, bomb kit, toolkit, elixir s, supply crate
Gear:
Full (ascended) rabid, 30% boon duration, 10% cond duration from runes.
Pistol/shield with sigil of energy (and generosity, which did probably not even help, because of shared the shared ICD)
Cond damage and duration food.
Mobility:
This is probably easy mode and will make alot of other classes want to cry:
With the increased boon duration, you can stack +1min of swiftness and vigor before entering the arena simply by swapping kits.
This means you can completely ignore weakness and cripple and dont even need any condition removal (but you got some anyways).
Sigil of energy gives you an additional dodge every 9 seconds. You should actually never run out of dodges as long as you keep swapping kits.
Damage:
Bombs allow you to deal sustained damage while moving anywhere you want. The confusion from bomb and toolkit skill 3 deal alot of damage and takes most of Liadri’s health down alone. At least i think so, I did not see her most of the time.
You actually have to take care, to not kill her too early.
Survivablity:
Medkit and passive regeneration provide more than enough healing.
You can place medkits everywhere to pick them up later, also remember those from the supply crate.
Pistol 1 (or simply bombs) takes down the rifts without “obstructed” and in case you get pulled, you got Elixir S to save your kitten .
You also got two blocks with multiple seconds duration from shield 5 and toolkit 4,
just in case.
Getting orbs:
Big Ol’ Bomb’s aoe knockback, supply crate’s stun, shield push, and last but not least toolkit’s pull provide a good amount of cc to be able to pick up orbs and even pull a single illusion into a swirl to speed things up. You may also try your luck by using the toolbelt skill from Elixir S to get stealth.
Not at all Donner, the more the merrier!
Now we have a build for Power Engi’s and one for Condi Engi’s
(edited by Brew Pinch.5731)
+ 1. This build did the trick. I made few personal touches to mine.
I wore knights gear with some zerk accessories and zerk rifle. I used Prayer to Dwayna for heals and Supply Crate for my elite. Strafe to the side so you can continue firing while moving. Take out the orbs when you see them so they don’t suck you in. Rifle can’t hit them because of a bug, so use flamethrower.
This is very similar to the build I use during normal play. Engineers rock.
Perma vigor, double pistols with rampager gear, greandes, elixir gun + elixir R for more dodges worked for me. I did 8 crystals with it.
I also posted mine in our already ongoing Gauntlet thread. I was able to do 8 lights finally with this build!
Details are posted in the other thread.
Jade Quarry
Used bunker\condi build, rare rampager set. The only trick was – not to run clockwise in a 2nd phase but choose a spot to stay in. One fall – miss, another – evade. Liandri was too easy this way -_-’
I just did 8 orbs with this build (specialy maked for this:-)):

With all that endurance its quite easy. In 2nd phase just run where you want and lay bombs Liadri get hit almost everytime so here isnt problem with damage. Kill orbs with pistol AA as fast as possible they are dangerous:-P
One of important things is reduce number of ilusions. Just let them explode on you with block you will have much more space.
Actualy there are 2 consumables what can help you. First is pretty much well known Grawl Totem for 3s AoE fear (great when you want pickup orb and ilusions are around) http://dulfy.net/2013/01/16/gw2-useful-and-fun-consumables-guide/#4c
And very unknown Harpy Feathers – works like Spykit (but you can move) for 3s invis but without cd (devs dont nerf it yet so dont tell him:-P). You can stack invis up to around 10s.
Tekkit’s Workshop
(edited by Rozbuska.5263)
i went 0/30/0/30/10
pistol traits, vigor / backpack regen / 409 in alchemy, speedy kits
rabid armor, celestial trinket (ascended), 4 altruism 2 monk
ate mango pie and maintenance oil
used med kit, B, S, toolkit
sat in kits during phase 1 and regenned thru autos. kited phase 2 around using pistol skills on cd, wiping condis and keeping vigor up all the while.
S is a beautiful oh kitten button that lets you keep orbs around for rallies
head here to discuss wvw without fear of infractions

I’ll have to give this one a try. How are you getting +30% boon duration from runes? (2 superior Monk and 2 superior Water?) And what runes for the +10 cond duration (mad king or lyssa?)
Also, same sigil on both weapons? Won’t only one proc, or cancel themselves out (both used, but only get benefit of one)?
Thanks.
Been trying this one, without the right armor, and can usually get to phase 2 without a problem, but then I either get downed by Liadri or by the aoes.
Please give us a keyring…
