Leveling my engineer was a lot of fun. Frustrating, sometimes, given the wide array of tools and gizmos we can utilize. Coming up with a Rifle/Flamethrower control and condition build was tricky, but I’ve managed to somehow create a magnificent synergy with the inclusion of Scrapper traits. The addition of the gyros and traits allowed me to create the perfect vision I had for my character while remaining useful and strong on the battlefield. He’s perfect.
… But that little whirling bathtub toy hovering just above my Charr’s majestic furred form is throwing off my groove.
I get it. It’s adorable. It triumphantly follows you along like a lap dog, obeying your every command and never leaves your side. It stands for everything a Scrapper should be; a master of machines and accomplished autonomic expert.
And so, a simple solution?
- Just add a small check-box on the Function Gyro minor trait icon in the Scrapper line. (similar to hiding helms, shoulders or gloves) That’s all! This allows freedom for those who appreciate the visual of the gyro.
- If it’s a matter of indicating whether or not it should be obvious that we still retain functionality of the gyro, add a buff indicating such.
As I said, I love the Scrapper specialization. But I also love the appearance of my character (especially in roleplay), and I don’t want to have to completely revert my specialization choices because of an arbitrary graphical addition.
