Supply Crate
I can only talk about pve and I have to say it’s the best elite we have! . . . underwater.
:D no jokes aside – it’s not worth taking imo. The mortar gives just the best utility, more damage, cc and heal in the long term. I played since back when there was no mortar and I do not miss the supply crate in the slightest ways.

Sneak gyro is the best elite for pvp. I used to use crate on my sd engi, but that was before it had an f5.
I used it almost all the time for both WvW and PvE, but when Anet released the new mortar kit I haven’t looked back. And now there’s the sneak gyro elite, which is equally great. The only time I ever use supply crate now is when I’m horsing around with pure turret builds. It can be funny to have an army of turrets. When other engineers see that, they end up doing the same thing. Next thing you know the whole room is loaded with turrets.
