Statistic discharge amen. Trait 10 to power for 100% burn on crit. atleast 20 to tools for speedy kit and statistic discharge. Rest u can check what u need. Prolly rifle range etc. Rifle with stats power prec crit% + sigil of bloodlust or 2 rifles that u swap. one with blood other with sigil of air. (Oh well in spvp i think air ) armor set soldier stats power/toughness/vitality. Ascended trinkets and rings where u mix into rings power tougness crit% + full power prec crit%. Also foods important to use oil. As long as u crit baby!
Skills: Medikit, tool kit , rifle turret, X
Explanation: When enter combat start with medikit 5 for fury. then auto rifle and and spamm ur toolbelt skills for SD. When forced to meelee change in tool kit for prypar and shield and use rifles overcharge shot to knokc em of. Then net shot —> jump shot = last one turn out the lights.
Problem is to choose third skill. If u dont have tool kit and rifle turret in sd build u fail. (Check out all gadgets, turrets, kits cooldowns to pop SD. These 2 has no competition) for 3rd you can pick elixir gun, flamer, gadgets like utlity goggles for 10 vulna. (looooooooooooooooong cd)
SD rifle engi is very strong in 1v1. More arrogant u are more better u do. SD can rain some serious dmg also rifle auto is great.
SD is strong offensively, but Elitegamerz said he’d like the build to be tanky. I personally recommend getting some toughness from items, and then getting traits that grant protection: Protective Shield and Protection Injection. The rifle is a good source of damage, but it’s also good at control. Control compliments a tanky build well. Pick up Hair Trigger to give your net shot an 8 second cooldown, and then grab Net Turret. Net Turret will give you a huge advantage against Warriors and Thieves—at times it feels like an auto win.
Here’s a good base to start with:

Some explanation:
Net Turret compliments the rifle giving you 3 sources of immoblize: Net Shot, Net Attack, and the Net Turret itself. I chose the Firearms trait Sitting Duck for this reason. You will easily be able to keep a rather large stack of Vulnerability on your target. Throw Mine is also another good control tool. You can place the minefield and the larger mine near your net turret where you will be doing your kiting and strip boons from your target. If they don’t cooperate and try to get out of range of your net turret, you can throw the mine behind them and detonate it to blow them back towards it. Practice with this gadget and you’ll see how powerful it is at controlling people.
@ikitsuro: While I agree that SD is a strong offensive build, it is one of the least forgiving builds due to it’s lack of durability. the all or nothing style does suit some players, but the OP did ask for a tanky build. I intended no offense with my comments or by changing the subject away from SD.

Both replies are very good. I have played SD builds in zerker gear but im not sure how it will do in pvt. I will look into it though.
The control build seems really interesting too, ill play around with it and see what i can do with it.
Here is what I use:
Mystic Rifle, I put 30 in firearms.
I then wear a full set of Sorrows Embrace : power, tough, vit armor
full set of runes of the eagle, throw 2o points in alchemy and 10 in inventions so you get the swiftness boost.
always use the tool kit so you get the block and magnet.
It’s a great, easy to use ‘tanky’ build with some decent damage. I constantly play with my firearm traits, but I like knee shot, just a personal preference, because after the immobilize they are still slow.
