What’s the biggest game of them all? Humans! These pesky little critters will scurry all about and are a bugger to catch! The build will holds those annoying little buggers down while you and your hunting part finishes him off!

This build is primarily a DPS support build. What this means is that you wont be doing a ton of damage, however you be able to apply some massive CC and DPS support that even the weakest dpser can be running with you and dominate any target. This is mostly good in WvW Roaming Groups and sPvP.

The Healing skill I usually choose between Healing turret (spvp) and medkit(WvW)

Speedy Gadgets can be exchanged for static discharge. IT depends on situation. I like speedy gadgets because the goggles allow me to be immune to blind (helps when taking down those pesky thiefs) and apply vunlerability.

My opening skill setup is this

Goggles toolbelt> Net Shot > Net Turret toolbelt > Net turret + overcharge > Blunderbuss> Optional

The optional slot depends on the situation. I do overcharge shot if I need to CC him some more, Jump shot to refresh the Vuln. Might do supply crate, maybe switch to the toolkit for even more CC or protection.

With that simple skill opening I apply the following

25 Stacks of vulnerability, 15 seconds of cripple, 8 seconds of immobilize, a small Daze, and bleeds.

When running with high dps thiefs, this allows them to down targets quickly. Not only does the immobilize help tremendously with allowing them to get behind the targets, but the vuln increase their damage a ton.

If they try to run the Power shoes helps with chasing/movement and the toolkits pull/bleeds + cripple make it nearly impossible to escape. In zerg fights this build doesn’t really shine well. If you do find yourself fighting zerg vs zerg, try to stick back with the ranged people and CC anyone who tries to approach them. Also take advantage of traps that rangers lay down and trapping poor souls inside of them.

I love going into sPvP with this build because with just one person, you can shot someone down completely. They usually panic after getting CCed so much, and so many rely on dodging it makes them mess up a ton.

Good luck, you brilliant hunters.

You accidentally put in Fireforged Trigger instead of presumably Hair Trigger.
But yeah, the sheer amount of immobilize, cripple, and vulnerability in that build is just cruel.
Sounds good!

nice build, one thing tho. Does Power Shoes stack with swiftness? Because with speedy kits switching in and out of med kit can keep it up swiftness indefinitly or just on demand if you need to chase someone.

Also what gear do you use? I presume Knights mostly, but was just curious. For wvw stat optimization I use www.gw2buildcraft.com

^ As I understand it swiftness never stacks in speed.
So while you are in combat Power Shoes will give you 25% xtra speed.
If you gain swiftness it will be increased to 33%.
This is all after the In-combat speed decrease.

The only skill that will give you faster speed than swiftness is Super Speed TB skill from Slick Shoes. This will double your original in-combat speed which will be faster than using swiftness in-combat.
Super Speed does not double the speed you have with Power Shoes, so using Power Shoes + Super Speed in-combat will not increase the speed of Super Speed.

So if you can keep swiftness up in-combat easily than Power Shoes will be a waste. If you have no reliable way to stack swiftness than Power Shoes can help while you are fighting.

note: All the rules change when out-of-combat and you can only gain 33% speed increase, so Swiftness and Super Speed will be the same speed.

Well, you can even glass cannon this, traited Tool Kit gives some underrated survivability, especially in WvW.

I’d use the battery ram instead of the net turret though.

Something I like about net turret is its net. It basically fires a net with the same CD as you rifle net. So you throw a net turret next to an enemy and do an overcharge immediately and you get a free stun. Since it is an immoblilize + stun, even with a stun breaker they need to have it have Condition removal, other whys they wont move.

I don’t like to berserker this because, well there really is no point. Most of your damage comes from the Rifle, which still isn’t a lot. Plus in WvW if you get caught, your chances of being toast go up significantly.

On the speed kits you guys are right, I just like trying to use things other builds never use. Getting the same traits/skills gets rather stale.

Quick questions, what runes/sigils/amulet do you prefer, and how do you manage conditons?

I love builds that go away from the norm, I’m just curious about your preferences.

Depends of where. If in the middle of a large battle, if you get caught you just raise your Gear Shield and run back to your group. Knowing that most of your encounters will be D/D Eles, Thieves and Mesmers, if you mess something up it’s not a bit of tankability that will save you as our escapes are pathetic, and the few things you can drop on the ground like Slick Shoes and the Box of Nails won’t be enough unless you have a keep close to your position. If it’s not Berserker, it will be Soldier, anything in between that isn’t condition based is pretty much a waste for us.
