Guild Wars 2

Are engineers currently the enhancement shaman of Guild Wars 2? It feels like they are.
To do any kind of damage close to other classes, you have to have perfect execution. Instead of totems you drop all kinds of turrets. And because we are so versatile and fun, some of our damage is “taxed”..

Anyone else think this?

We also fire lightning.

tbh I don’t find the damage is that taxed, we are the best at conditions. I guess it feels ok because we counter the current fotm eles :p

I don’t see it as a bad thing actually. Enh shammy was my favorite class in WoW.

I’d say engineers are more the elemental shaman of Guild Wars 2. Enhancement has had plenty of times where it’s shined, and even was a fotm class for a long while in Cata. Could do tremendous DPS in PVE as well… all while Elemental could do is sit back, watch, and be jealous.

I believe that still applies today, but I dunno, I don’t play anymore.

I wouldn’t say “perfect execution” is necessary on everything to get “untaxed” damage, on some builds yes but not on all. But that is true with any class.

I didn’t think we’re that like Enh Shaman, but come to think of it, that was my main in WoW.
