I just got the predator the other day, super happy with it, and today I found out that you can have grenade barrage throw flaming balls of death (that sound like a spaceship flying by)!
Super cool right?!
Wrong. (Well really right I love it).

To have this super cool animation work you have to trait into it. By this I mean that you have to have the grand-master trait “Grenadier”. Why can this super animation not work without this trait? I don’t mind having to trait into it since go for the eyes was reduced to 33%, and I love grenades. But come on everyone should know about this magic!

Why can’t it work on all kit attacks period…. ?

Which is why I’ll never bother going for a legendary.

Or better yet, just let us use our weapons while in our kit, turn our weapon into grenade launchers, rifle-butt people in the face while in toolkit… etc.

Just tested it. With Acidic Elixirs, Cleaning 409, and Fast Acting Elixirs. Nope.

My thrown elixirs got a glow with Acidic Elixirs. Check it out again it’s not that visable as grenades glow is. But there is a glow and also a sound last time I checked.

Surprise Shot has the Predator projectile. I also notice that my static discharge when I use Surprise Shot has a unique animation, though I do not think this is the case for any other toolbelt skill.

It’s not that I don’t agree with you, but do you really think there’s people running around with the grenade kit that don’t take grenadier?

I just finished mine, the special effect on Grenade Barrage is pretty neat but I haven’t seen anything different on thrown elixirs.
Would be cool if the aura/footsteps didn’t disappear when using a kit.
