The ZERGENEER, an intro
This is a nice build and is really similar to the playstyle I usually run, just with a few different things here and there.
Currently the most fun and creative way to use your Engineer is as a support or basically a feeder for others. You might not actually get the kill or even the most damage but using your skills and gadgets in ways that ensures your buddies will down enemy players is very satisfying to me on its own.
The Engineer can really excell at pulling ppl out of there zergs when they are straggling or get to overzealous trying to get a down. I love the old jump past the person turn around then knock them into your zerg.
My personal fav is to the EG #4 immediatly after hitting About Face so you go flying forward over the enemy than About Face again and use FT/OS/PBR to knock them into my group of friendlies.
This build is a very good example of a role the Engineer can play very effectivly, which is to draw ppl out with harrassment so they want to try and down your annoyance then you just throw them to your hungry zerg and look for more food.

yeah your way is much more efficeint but there is just something about jumping over ppls heads then blasting them through the air that is just REALLY satisifying!
@KirinDave
Also, I’m on a lower tier server. I would assume that the zergs on higher tier servers are more organized and maybe wouldn’t require these tactics for success. If I didn’t need to make sure the zerg focuses that ele or mesmer doing insane dps or that warr who’s downing 3 people every time he runs into the front line then maybe my options would open up a bit.
I’m on Borlis Pass, which is not in the top 10 but moving up. Remember us? I never really camped AR’s spawn too much though, I was bothering other people with a flamethrower magnet build and focused on preserving siege at spawn camps. Which is a pretty funny role and one of the few places having knockdowns and flamewalls is important.
But seriously, your function is: contribute damage, all of the magnets, and all of the nailboxes. As much zone rooting and zone crippling as you can when zergs face off so that your zerg can press forward but the enemy group cannot easily do so.
Why Empowering Adrenaline? Wouldn’t Incendiary Powder or Exploit Weakness be better?
Or perhaps run 30 in Tools instead and get the third minor trait and Adrenal Implant?
Yeah, I guess for Incendiary.
However, the final minor trait of Tools will give you more than that (and honestly, how much dodging is done in ZvZ?), and Adrenal Pump with that helps you stay at full more easily.
Plus the crit damage is worth about 4% bonus damage with max sigil stacks (though idk how much the power loss from explosives would do, but I doubt it matches the 10% of Enduring Damage)
Weird – I don’t see your build posted.
Repoooost! I wanna see it
Support rolls dont get you pvp bags…
