Random thought driving home after a long day at work…

GW2 Engineers are a lot like the engineers (yes, the crafting profession) from WoW.

1. The goggles get all the ladies.
2. You’re not sure why you do it other than some underlying masochistic tendency you never knew you had.
3. Sometimes you build something, whether it be a 100nades build with a perfect set of gear or Nitro Boosts and it blows up in your face or gets nerfed.
4. The toys make it worth the trouble. Come on, who doesn’t like flamethrowers, really kitten loud motorcycles, and shooting rockets out of your belt.
5. All your friends keep asking you why in the flying kitten you chose this as your profession and why you haven’t moved on to something else yet.
6. You listen to your friends and try other things but keep coming back to your engineer because everything else just seems so kitten boring.
7. Yes, it has its problems, but you just don’t care because you have so much kitten fun with it.
8. The goggles get all the ladies.

Did I forget anything?

Engineers unite! Anyone else an engineer and proud of it? Yes, it has its problems, but I just don’t care because I have so much kitten fun with it.

Let’s hear some stories about blowing things up while rockin’ the goggles, whether it be yourself off of Dalaran or some punk invader off the cliff in your borderland. This here engineer forum needs a little less serious and a little more engineer.

My favorite night in WvW:
EB, I think my server was blue. I spent several hours hanging around WC, where we got into plenty of skirmishes with green between WC and Lowlands.
Most of the battles began with both sides skirting each others ranges until I Magneted some poor sap, Net Shotted him, and then Overcharged Shotted him further toward my team, and then Gear Shielding to flee from the enemy group I just blasted myself into.
My real moment of pride is that it seemed that several of these people I had been fighting against repeatedly decided to bring certain traits to help fight my inevitable free bag maneuver (namely Hide in Plain Sight and Cloaking Device).

Engineer may have its problems, but CC is not one of them.

I lol’d. I did not notice the similarities. =P

I still consider my main to be my ele, but I couldn’t resist the urge to create an engi—probably because it’s been called the weakest class.

I LOVE my engi in sPvP and I am so glad I created her! I rock the bomb kit and enjoy the hell out of it.

I lol’ed because it was funny, then I Q.Q’ed a bit because it was all true. I really do keep making alts to try other classes but like clockwork I’m back on my Engi by the next week.

I think all my favorite moments with Engineer also deal with CC in WvW. I love engi so much lol. Also, I love us for Jumping puzzles, rifle is OP in jumping puzzles. It so funny to hear my guild mates curse at me in mumble every time I jump shot somewhere and they can’t.

Haha, so true! Yeah, I realized as I was running away from a group of 4 invaders in WvW, timing each shield, swapping between kits every second, that if I had the same proficiency in almost any other class, I could probably turn around and take them. But even though I probably knew my class better than them, I had to run.

Oh well, sad times. Still, almost daily I try to play my level 27 warrior, but man… it feels like such an insult to my intelligence. I feel like I am very limited, but at the same time the little things I can do as a warrior are enough to dominate pretty much anything.

So yeah, I will continue to play my little less than powerful class because there is honestly nothing else out there that fits.

Engineer is too perfect for me, and Goggles get all the ladies.
