So I’m sitting in class (not paying attention obviously) and had an idea that triggered from another engineer thread weeks ago that mentioned the idea of a 5-engi fractal.

I don’t know how well it could be executed and i have not crunched the numbers but wonder if in theory, a team of 5 engineers could make maybe a 35+ AR engineer survive the agony of a 40 or even 50+ fractal.

If all 5 or 4 executed skills such as:
-Multiple bandage drops stacked
-Super Elixir
-Toss Elixir R
-Supply crate post agony start for more bandages and healing turrets
-Possibly traited bombs to heal spam

There might be enough bandages and small heals to keep one alive, if not at least survive into the downd state, which then the excess of turrets could possibly tank agro from the a maw’s laser. Granted these agony ticks hurt a ton and might not be possible at all. Or maybe for only frac 40+ with 40+ AR. But that would be determined by number crunching.

Any thoughts if this could provide enough heals to keep one engineer up? I’m a fractal 49 but rarely do I see another engineer in fotm.

I Think it was my thread :P but why not simply drop x5 Elixir R ? Agony hits by % and Elixir revives by % so 100% hp each second + whatever revive candy you might use

you can use that trait that exilir last longer and potentially out live agony, simply healing it it’s impossible.

and starting tomorrow, elixir U will have a guarantee wall! it is deff possible for 5 engineers to run frac 50 easy

Yeah it was your thread haha and Elixir S(hrink) toss is the Invis or Stability. That was my initial thought but the agony might out endure the Toss Elixir R so something like Medkits and Super Elixir with the goal of not even hitting downd and Elixir R toss being there as a safety net. Good to hear that the toss will be a guarantee reflect. Although I run S and R the majority of the time. And that would possibly continually down/rally the engineer which would possibly destroy the victim as well.

Actually a 5 Engineer party sounds nice, I’m working on doing a full Engi run through several dungeons to prove the popular belief wrong that we’re no good. It’s a work in progress but isn’t everything? ^^;

Actually 5x Elixir R in itself my be enough to sustain, Super Elixir would be icing to the cake I suppose. But that’s only a 6 second duration, which the first tick of R would have to tick right after the first tick in downed occurred.

remember though, on downed, they are able to ignore 1 of the ticks (pretty sure anyways, don’t watch too closely :P). Neways I’m also 49 on my thief but have an engi that I could easily give 30 ar. Could easily gather the people for this so it interests me

hahaha ooops! i actually meant to say throw elixir R!!! and well, you don’t get down penalty if you get downed instantly so you would be able to get up several times and if you use Bowl of Fire Salsa ( 100% more health when rally ) I’m pretty sure you could outlive agony!

we should try this sometime :P just gotta find more engineers!

I’m game for giving it a go! hahaha Also in two weeks I’ll also have 40AR (not using my laurels to get accessories but if someone has a guild that is doing Rush (that gives commends right?) I would love to join :p…seriously…i Would love more than 2 commends a week) and by this theory all 5 of us could survive as well. We might be able to do that though!

Also, with the bowl of fire salsa, we would need to use rune sets and any traits (if any exist for engi) that also improve that rally health pool.

I think with Fire Salsa and Runes of Mercy, the most health we can rally with is 55% of our health pool. Base rally health is 25%. Salsa increases it by 100% (25%) and Mercy revives allowed with 20% more (5%) so a rally at 55% means we would be able to sustain an additional hit if agony dmg is below that. Now, if that Mercy bonus stacks, then that would give everyone 70% health on rally (25% + 25% + 5%x4) which I doubt the mechanic operates in this way.

All this is based on what the description says, I didn’t run Mercy runes very long wo it could mean an additional 20% to the overall health pool. When I did run it I never paid attention to how it applied either haha

That’s another option to bring the 5th as a Guard and have him hit that ult, but then it’d cut back on the Toss Elixir R from 100% to 80% down’d hp/s
