Guild Wars 2

Basicly wondering how they are in pve. I have an 80 necro and ranger and was planing on this being my next class. I don’t see many around to ask so I figured I’d ask in here.

I haven’t played much PvE so I’m not sure what to tell you. Most of their builds probably require a bit more micromanagement than ranger or necro in PvE. Engineers are flexible and can put out pretty good damage, support, and utility.

I’ve ran a few builds in pve and I’ve found an engineer is as good at pve as you want it to be. Whether in damage output or support there are viable options for any situation. No other class has the range of viable abilities and builds that the engineer possesses.

As said, very flexible. If you played your ranger well, then you had to micro manage your pet a lot in PvE. I find that the engineer needs less attention then that. But you can have some multi kit builds that have a skill for almost every situation, that you can be quit busy swapping kits to use those skills.

Ha! I’m not computer savvy enough to do all that!

I exclusively play pve. After trying all of the classes for an extended period I have settled on warrior and engineer as my 2 favorites.

Engineer is fun in pve.

That’s strange Krassix, since I find Engi to be one of the more interesting, unique, and dynamic classes, while Warrior remains very vanilla and boring to play.

I have been playing MMOs since 99 eq1. I must say engineer is one if not the most interesting classes I’ve ever played. Maybe with blood mage from VG being a close 2nd. Good times!
