Guild Wars 2

I have only been playing like a week. I wanted to try a different class than my Guardian. Engineer looked interesting.

What kind of equipment or traits should I use when I am making the push up to 40 and than 60? I kinda thought that using Grenades sounded cool but was wondering what would level me up without too much heartache or frustration.

I enjoyed using Grenades and Bombs together with a Rifle while leveling up. By chaining Big Ol’ Bomb with Fire Bomb into Jump Shot, you can deal a large amount of AoE damage, burning, and a knockback/knockdown while also gaining 3 stacks of might and a Fire Aura. Works exceptionally well against most mobs.

Also gives you access to a smoke bomb that blind locks foes for a short time.

Becomes much more effective at level 30+ when you have Supply Crate.

Try different kits and builds as you level up. That way you’ll be familiar with different kits, skills and traits when you hit 80.

Flame Turret also creates a blind lock when you overcharge it, and you can detonate it in its own smoke field to gain stealth for a few seconds.

Bomb kit is one of the most effective leveling kits. If you’re dying a lot, fall back on a powerful standard, like bombs and grenades. There are dozens of other ways to level so definitely experiment as much as you feel comfortable.
