Reaper is amazing and just needs some dps buffs.
I don’t think their damage is all that bad.
As for our own specialization, I want something more defensive than offensive. We at the very least need a trait that gives us stability access, and I think engineers desperately need some kind of hard area denial on the hammer.
We have a lot of blinds, chills, knockbacks, and snares, but we just don’t have a way to really lock down a point and keep someone out like the guardian hammer does with Ring of Warding. Maybe this is being greedy, but I would love it if the hammer also had Backdraft. Would make Bomb Kit very strong again, even with the radius “nerf.”
Engineer CC has always leaned toward decaps and sustain that it would be a nice change of pace if our hammer actually did the opposite of our rifle and was a gap closer and not a gap creator.

I think Forge may be more direct damage rather than condition damage.
However, it depends on what the Drones bring to Engineer’s gameplay.

I would hope it can be condi oriented given the complementary kits: bombs and toolkit.

I just hope we have some range with thay hammer, kind of like revanent. After playing a guardian with a bow and 1200 range, I think thay will hit WvW in a tough way.

That data mine if correct showed 6 different drone flavors. i would imagine theres going to be healing and condition damage in there. I just pray for a burn and confusion bot
(If they are real) you can feel a pretty strong sense of what color does what.

Well like I said it depends on what the Drone’s functions are.
Condition may be most ideal due to Engi current nature being very good DPS in cinditions but direct damage seems more likely for hammer.
The flame animation may be just for flashy animation sake as a way to show the hammer is being propelled by the force of the flames serving like rockets pushing the hammer for making more force.
After all a rocket propelled Hammer is something a Engineer may use for giving a Hmmer more force on their hits.

no way power build are boring … CONDI ftw !
warriors is already power build and so does guardian
therefore condi hammer should be for engineer and focus more on fire damage which suit the name FORGE
