This class is just so arduous right now and I think my 1 key hates me.

Like, I know a lot of people have been saying grenade kit shouldn’t have any sort of auto attack but really? Our only ranged option (really our only solid dps option right now with the garbage pistols and the gimmicky set on rifle) and you literally have to pound the 1 key continually while on the move. It’s tiring and frankly not fun. In terms of damage all of the other kits are mediocre at best, bombs being the only thing coming close. I just want this class to feel finished and I really want to like it but right now in 80 PvE content, I feel like I made a mistake.

An option to make all ground targeted aoe’s cast on target would fix all that-also it would make life much more easier for other classes who have a lot of circle casting stuff.

I don’t see the harm in letting players do this as long as its just an option. Thinking about using an option like that in PvP gives me the chills.

Or you can use the flamethrower. shrug And bombs also do respectable DPS if you don’t mind running in circles.

Ground target skills that have no cooldown, like skill 1 on grenades should do just as you all suggest, auto-target the location of the selected enemy WHEN you put it on auto-attack.
Take it off auto attack and have it work like it does now. best of both worlds with the option to switch between manual and auto while in combat.

Flamethrower has excellent damage against groups and has an amazing knock back with a base 15 second cool down (which is also aoe). Traiting for the flamer also let’s you more easily trait for the rifle and the pistol, along with the elixir gun so you can max 30 in firearms and 30 in alchemy or inventions so you can have very nice dips with a mix of weapons, the option to have insane CC, and the option to provide some excellent group support

Technically bombs and grenades are better against groups, since flame jet hits a max of 3 targets per tick (which I don’t think is a bug). Flamethrower does excel in stacking crit effects though, along with being somewhat more versatile than either grenades or bombs.
