According to interviews, Veil is going to be removed with the upcoming patch. That skill is only going to have two outcomes of RNG.

That’s good to hear, at least no matter the outcome you get a good projectile block.
Hopefully they fix the skill working 50% of the time.
Otherwise its a solid utility/tool belt skill.

Removing Veil just makes the RNG that much more stupid.
Why even have RNG if the results are the same.
So now we get a gauranteed projectile block, which is awesome but whether its Smoke Screen or Wall of Reflect is just an afterthought and you still can’t rely on either one. So hurray we have a skill that reflects projectiles and is RNG for no good reason, just prolly raising the CD because we have 2 effect options instead of just one.
So good job making your stupid RNG redundant.
How about ANet just admits that RNG prolly wasnt a good idea and they are going to replace it with a more reliable and fair mechanic.
I dont understand why we still have to deal with these relics of essentially a rushed class. “No time to properly design unique abilities, just copy/paste abilities from other professions, toss em together and put em on RNG”.
Why havent we actually gotten proper abilities for these placeholders yet? Its been well over 6 months…
And get rid of the kitten RNG already. Stop tapdancing around it because you feel you have to stand by your decision despite it being a bad decision.
Before launch devs swore that RNG was great fun and totally should be in there for Engineers. And ever since, theyve been chisseling away and reducing RNG one step at a time.
Just, get rid of it. Admit it was a bad idea, and come up with some real and unique abilities.
