Thrown Elixirs drop at feet.
Absolutely terrible. If an engi is only using toss elixir for himself he is selfish and probably not very good.
you can throw them at your feet by tapping it twice without targetting anything.

Obviously. I find my opinions really tie the room together though.

I agree with Awesome actually. The idea behind being able to throw elixirs in the first place is for a support role. Even then the idea is to stand back and throw protection (as an example) to the front line. What good does toughness do you when 95% of your skills are ranged?
Elixirs have a splash radius so if its dropped at your feet it would affect anyone around you. making it easier to use.
The idea to be an engineer is to be an engineer, not conform to support roles that some random forum troll are going to impress upon you. People get to pick and choose their playstyle and let that define them. No one has any need to care beyond that, and it certainly is no one else’s problem if people want/dont want to drop elixirs at their own feet.
What do you do when you solo then, or everyone is standing around you? Ignore the toolbelt elixirs because you’re afraid to look cheap and newbish? That’s BS, and it shows weakness.

Obviously if I’m alone I will use them on myself. Depending on the situation I might even use them on myself when others are around. Taking away the ability to throw them at all is a terrible idea though.
Agreed on that point, at least.

Click the icon, drop at your feet.
Click in the game world and drop at the mouse.
That’s how it works now, might not be ideal but it’s good enough for me in terms of options.
When you have someone targeted, mousing over their health bar automatically puts the targeting circle on you as well. So, there’s multiple options for targeting yourself already…
