Toolkit/Magnet not so magnetizing anymore...
yeah, it’s garbage. it’s always had these/similar problems but i think it’s gotten worse.
What I don’t understand is why has this still not been addressed? The toolkit is a widely used kit and magnet appears in a large amount of builds.
Once i pulled one player in ranked pvp and it catapulted him high in air and he died from fall dmg (he had full health). Esports.
I stopped using tool kit after I realised most pulls, if successful, end up with lag-like effect of my enemy and pulling him only half way towards me.
Also, yea. If there is a small bump in the terrain between you and targeted enemy, they are likely to get catapulted into the air. Also with lag-like effect, so you have no clue where the enemy is going to appear (as the ‘catapult’ is often fake, client-side effect).
pull hasnt always had these problems, but patch after patch on the backend has gradually degraded its inner workings and now the only reason its not a bigger issue is cuz hammer/scrapper more or less obsoletes toolkit.

Even more of a reason to fix it, I don’t like being forced to use certain builds. Scrapper is not for me, the hammer skills just don’t seem to fit the spectrum of engineer – except thunderclap.
Really wish they addressed all these annoying issues with engineer.

I really hope Anet will fix the kitten pull glitch that you mentioned.
Successful Pull > Go for Pry Bar > WHAT THE HELL DUDE WHERE DID YOU GO? > Oh you’re actually in front of me but your character is 600-800m away > die cuz you get glitched stunned > port to DR and jump off Lyssa statue.
