Toolkit/turret synergy suggestion

So basically what you can currently do with a toolkit is minor heal on a turret by bashing it with wrench on a toolkit.
Due to the fairly expendable nature of the turrets, it’s more often than not better to have an extra turret than to have the ability to repair them.
What I’m suggesting is giving toolkit the ability to apply temporary buffs on the turrets, making them more and more powerful the longer you keep hitting them with your wrench.
This would give an additional turret fighting style, that instead of concentrating on many expendable turrets, concentrates on a single powerful one.
Of course, this might or might not be a terrible idea, if turrets start scaling properly with the player’s stats.
What are your thoughts?
