Trait bugs?
Automated response will prevent you from getting any new condition, but it will not remove any pre-existing conditions before reaching 25%
and Cloaking device, i have never really used it but it usually triggers if i fight an engi who happens to have it, maybe it was an internal cool down or something
Coaking devise should work, I use it in WvW and it works. Maybe you attack when you are immob, so it reveal you?
And the cooldown is really low.
Automated response → like google said. That’s why this trait is pretty much unused. Especially since it’s in the since trait line as Formula 409.

Cloaking Device has a few second Internal Cooldown. Receiving a immobilize, or remaining immobilized while the global cooldown is in effect will prevent it from triggering and you will remain visible until the cool down refreshes and next application of immobilize occurs.

I have immob’d many engis and they go invisible. Maybe you were just fighting people that kept attacking your position :p
I think Anet needs to fix Automated Response. Is it supposed to clear conditions when reaching 25% or just prevent incoming conditions or what? Because the official wiki does still list Automated Response as one of the “condition removal” traits, leading to so much confusion such as the OP’s post.

Automated Response simply prevents new conditions from being applied on you at 25% health, conditions received at 26% health and above remain on you until their duration expires. Automated Response does not act as a condition remover, it simply makes you invulnerable to new incoming conditions. The moment your health raises above 25% you can then receive new conditions. Making this trait not quite as useful as it sounds, for at 25% health most pre-existing conditions and incoming damage will kill you before you can make use of condition immunity. (In PvP)

Thx for the replies guys. It was very helpful.
Automated response – yess, indeed, i was expecting that ALL conditions will disappear when i reach 25%. Of course that didn’t happen and i was confused.
I so wish that automated response would clear all conditions and prevent new ones from being applied :| Though I think that’s too OP. =/ (maybe internal cooldown of 60 seconds and this only lasts for 10 seconds)
When your health reaches 25%, you lose all conditions and you cannot be applied any condition for 10 seconds (cooldown: 60sec) ? :p
It’s a Grandmaster trait. It should clear all conditions.

what he or she said at 25% hp you are pretty up up to 1-3 hits away from death as well.
(Opinion) I doubt it would be overpowered to have it remove all current conditions. For being at 25% health is very easy to lose in a heated PvP game. (Heart seeker or a Shatter) It would be a decent trait to compliment burst builds or non-Elixer builds. For it provides a engineer with the much needed condition removal. Immunity is great, but like several Engineer skills and traits it is simply not a reliable counter against any build you fight.

If devs are discussing making Kit Refinement a Master level trait to balance it, then why do we have Grandmaster traits that behave more like Adept or Master level traits? :p Grandmaster trait should remove all current conditions. There is nothing OP about having to put 30 points that cannot be spent elsewhere to get such an effect.
