I like it, and also the fact that you have the balls to suggest something so radical
would trade my turrets in for more gadgets in a blink of an eye if given the chance.
Can’t be worse than turrets, anyway. At least these would be usable.
I love the shoulder mounted rifle, it could be rocket as well, like the predator weapon from the films, which would fit the high tech theme of the prof.

That isn’t a shoulder cannon. His turrets are behind him so you don’t see the body of them, just the barrels.
We already have those. They’re called Gadgets.

I have seen some pretty silly ideas before kid but this… This one?!?! I kittening love it!!! My god how do we send threads to the owners of arena net?? Now your numbers are a little nuts but that’s the least of the problems. The idea is there and stop me if I’m wrong but no one gives 2 kittens about the current state of turrets . Please engis bump this till we get an answer .
Something like a bunch of armor-mounted weapons sounds much cooler for a future elite spec than something to just throw on current Engineer willy-nilly. They could be much better developed that way.
And I happen to love turrets. I don’t care that they’re bad (well, I mean, I’d prefer they were good without a doubt, but I’d rather have bad turrets than no turrets). Why completely change something that does have fans rather than just adding it as a new feature.
Are you sure people hate gyro or they just want to improve it? We barely had time to exploit it (or find exploits, j/k). Your topic is about turrets, yet people rarely used turrets in PvP. THEN CAME BUNKER TURRETS MWAHAHAHAHA DIE GLASS BUILDS DIE!! Woops excuse me, I lost myself there, well to be honest, while turret engineers exploited the weaknesses of the meta back then, I exploited the popularity of the turret engineers myself, ie. I used an anti bunker turret engi build.

Lovin it,anything but the turrets.
I would like for them to be like the engi equivalent of signets, armor mods just like you say but with a passive effect, like the rifle mod could fire at the nearest target every x seconds when off cooldown etc. Could even keep the same skills, just make the engi the turret! Make them give 20% less endurance regen each when slotted (From all that weight) and give them really interesting effects to compensate

The ideas are fun and good from what ive read, but while they are that, i dont think they will ever be applied. I hope Anet will buff all the gadget skills by creating cd reduction traits as well as increased effects so that u can run a gadget build.
Give them something like turrets got with those boons.
Talking about turrets, give some of the longer cd turret a stun break function, like thumper or rocket. That way u can build something with a full focus on one skill, this gives choice and choice is good. Also give the turret trait a reduced cd or decrease some of the cd’s for the bigger turrets. from 50 to 30 sec or something. Same with the elite of that skill.
Talking about stun breakers, please remove stun break skills from toolbelt skills.
Toolbelt skills should be skills that u can use that do significant things but that shouldnt be something to really thought about. There are utility skills for those moments. I know i stir things up with that statement, but when u remove them, give them to other skills, like Rocket boots, or slick shoes. or make a trait, equiping a kit breaks stuns. Something like that. But let us use toolkit skills to enhance our gameplay within our “rotation”. Not skills to save for the moments we need it.
My advice to the devs is, stop nerfing all there is cried about, build in diversity and synergy within traits. So people can make THEIR choice of skills, without getting punished for it because people cried so much about OPism that only certain builds have a viability in a game mode.

Except if we’ve learned ANYTHING from turrets its that the only time they are useful in PvP (they will never be useful in PvE until they actually scale with something other than condi damage) is when they are just balls of stats that can’t die and support sitting on the same point the entire game.
In other words, they’re only good when they’re cheesy.
