I was thinking about how plain the turrets look and the fact that all the races of the exact same make and model. Do you think there could be any chance of Turret makeovers?

For the Asura we could have some futuristic turrets firing lasers instead of bullets. Blue flame instead of regular fire.

Charr could have some Steampunk style turrets firing Cogs. Maybe some oil on fire instead of the normal flame.

Sylvari can have plants ofc. Firing seeds etc

Humans I’m not sure about. Anyone got any ideas for them?

It would be nice to stand out a little more with the turrets.

No, it’s much easier to recognize, “oh hey that’s the Thumper Turret. I better get away so I’m not launched” with one skin rather than needing to remember 5 skins for each turret (and more with future races), which would be redundant.

Maybe if it could be client side only. It would be neat to have something that looks like the Inquest turrets.

The exact first thing I thought on using my first turret.
I personally think Anet would earn another million per patch if they added skin makeovers for several profession skills to the gemstore, even suggested it in the forums months ago.
You don’t like pinkish mesmer? There are different colorthemes at the gemstore!
You want to customies your turrets so they fit your race? Well there is at least one alternative available, so far!

Unfortunately, you will find that surprising amounts of people claim this will either completely ruin the lore or recognizing 1 additional sprite per ability (and a self-explainatory at that) already blows their mind.

Imo, visual customization is a major part of GW2’s endgame and I’m not the type who’s satisfied with customizing the bikini on their human warrior… It’s a shame this doesn’t get more positive attention.
