Turret trait idea: Perimeter Defense
To be honest it sorta feels a bit outta left field, but it would be kinda cool. Then again I know nothing about balance and whatnot, so it’d probably be better if someone else gave their opinion. Also, tbh more turret traits should probably come after a more general fix. But like I said, it would be a neat idea for the future.

Neat and creative idea. Only one game to my knowledge has ever done this and I cant remember it for the life of me. Tabula rasa maybe, or hellgate london? Bah I cant remember!!
Its nice that people are coming up with traits and stuff that arnt just +defence or -90% damage from aoe skills.
I’ll be honest. I don’t get it.
Why do I need this trait when I already have it in the Explosives line. Rifle Turret and Healing Turret have a 20s cooldown, can be detonated for damage and traited to add a knockback. Doesn’t that kind of do what you’re asking for already, only not as OP. Shocking Aura on all your turrets all the time is a bit much.

I disagree. I agree with the OP. This trait would make people and enemies focus on fighting the turrets rather than ignore them, because the turrets effect the field of battle.

This is excelent idea man! And its already implemented in game you can see it in SE:-)
Tekkit’s Workshop
When two or more turrets are placed within 900 of each other they form an electrical barrier that stuns enemies crossing it (2 seconds). Any player attacking one of your turrets is stunned (1 second with an 8 second cooldown).
It gives them some defense and helps them feel more like area denial with incentive to play more than one turret while thinking about placement.
This means supply drop on an enemy not only stuns him, bur creates a force field that will stun him again
between every turret you drop they get a electrical link (animation and effect line static field). Like a fence with turrets as the link towers.
Drop one turret, nuffin. Drop a second turret and anyone running through the electric will get a small daze, recharges in 10-20s per link.
Altho, turrets already quite heavy on the control side.
